I have never watched a normal drama where the rape victim falls in love with her attacker, BL drama's do like to glorify rape which does not happen in Normal drama's. In most of the BL drama's I watch I really do not find much Boy love, but there normally is a lot of Boy hate. You say that children need to know that there are good and bad people in the world, the only problem is that BL drama's are mostly bad people doing bad things and the drama telling the audience that they are good people. If it isn't rape then it is normally manipulation and coercion, most of the guys are straight who suddenly decide they like a guy, but only the one guy. The new thing seems to be that everyone must be fluid, that gay people have been made redundant.

I think my main problem is that Thai BL have for many years pushed the drunk rape/love story, now they are going for the manipulator and the mentally challenged relationship. You say he is an aerospace engineer so obviously not mentally challenged, but he is also walking around with a duckie keychain and acting like an immature teenager most of the time. I think there is an age limit that you reach when people stop calling you innocent and start calling you stupid, Nhai past that limit. Was it rape? Ai actually said to Nhai " you are drunk" but then had sex with him. If it wasn't rape then it was ambiguous which should not be in a romance drama. I have said in a previous comment that many people go to clubs, have a dance and a drink and then look for a one night stand, all of this is planned before they go. Nhai spent 2 episodes being in love with a girl, he then got drunk with his male friends and ended up having sex with one of them, it is two very different scenarios. We also don't know if they had sex in the morning or after just a few hours of sleep, all the others didn't wake up while they were having sex in the other room so I assume it was during the night/early morning. I also don't think a drunk person can initiate sex, legally they can't. If Ai really liked Nhai then I would assume he would want to be sure that Nhai wanted it, wouldn't a love story be better if it showed respect and morality

KinnPorsche was annoying before the rape but it was the final straw and I stopped watching it. I have never watched Tharntype but I believe that because it did so well, every BL drama after followed the same toxic storyline. I never really wanted to watch BL drama's, but then a year ago I gave it a go and was very disappointed, they all seem to be more boy hate, than boy love. I checked your reviews and I am happy to see that you didn't like Cutie Pie , I think Cutie Pie is the new template for Thai BL. After Cutie Pie we had, Unforgotten Night, La Cuisine and Love in the Air, drama's all about a moron being manipulated. Not only do I find most BL drama's toxic but I also find the main characters unlikeable. One is normally weak and pathetic and the other one is strong and controlling, there is never any growth with the characters and the story ends very much the way it started. The weak character will go 12 episodes being more and more pathetic, accepting all the lies and filthy behavior because they love each other and love is unconditional. Love is not unconditional, there is only one person you should love unconditionally. I am not sure where I would post my drama when I finish it, In a few weeks I will send you the first few chapters and you can tell me what you think. It is very basic, I wrote it more like a script than a book.

I think we have all gone out to a club at some time in our life hoping to hook up, we drink too much, dance and if lucky, meet someone who wants the same. I look at this situation differently because the mentally challenged one ( seems to be the new thing to have a retard in Thai BL ) thought he was straight and didn't plan to have sex with anyone. Maybe he did want it at the time but my problem is still the same, he had been drinking and they implied that he was still drunk. So the question is, can a drunk person consent to sex? The other guy is meant to really like him and believes he is the one, wouldn't it be better if he had stopped the drunk moron and said " I really like you, I want you to be sure you know what you are doing" Wouldn't that show real feelings better than what normally happens? In 2moons2 the character Beam got so drunk his friend Forth had to carry him upstairs to sleep because he couldn't walk home. They ended up having sex which Beam instigated, I would call that rape, most of the people in the Youtube comment sections found it romantic. I think that Thai BL is blurring the lines of what is normal and acceptable, I am not sure if it is just bad writing or if it is deliberate.
