Yes the casts were great, however I’m disappointed that GYJ first lead role wasn’t great, she deserved a lot better.because of her scripts people are saying so much negative stuff about her, she didn’t get the chance to showcase her talents to the fullest 😭

If Her soul was needed to set things in motion then they failed on every level of making that plausible or sensible. UK was desperate to have his energy gate open so He would’ve been willing to save the world in exchange, damn, if Seol Ran turned up and say she’s 300 years old but she would open his energy gate if he marry her he would do it without hesitation , getting him to train would have been easier tbh because all she had to do was go to Songrim and show Park Jin The Threat and explain UK’s importance.
This whole thing about attracting UK’s shadow and will cast it aside sounds like it was made up on the spot by the director,

Ok, if Seol Ran had lost her powers before, she wouldn’t have been able to enter Naksu’s AOS and trapped her only a powerful priestess can do that, so it proves that she had her powers all along.

After the petrification that’s where she Needed Naksu’s energy to heal herself, it’s possible that her soul was affected when HoGeong used the ice stone to demonstrate it’s power in part 1 and that’s why her soul was hanging on to Naksu’s energy.

I knew the story was lacking but I kept hoping it would be sorted out the next episode and also reading some amazing Theories, I thought there’s no way the Hong sisters could be so Bland because so many people h had so many great theories. Turns out most of these people would make Hong Sisters into The Best Writers in the whole world if they were to write for the Hong Sisters 🤣

I think I’ll try the Glory after Missing the Other Side ,Season 2 finishes, then the Glory should occupy me until Island starts 😅

Seol Ran is the most powerful Priestess in Daeho so why did she need Naksu’s energy?
She built a prison and more or less helped build Daeho from scratch, if she didn’t trap Naksu, her body wouldn’t have ran wild and petrified in the first place, makes me wonder if she didn’t foresee that. She Aso said to Naksu in episode 19 that she allowed Naksu to use her body so it contradicts with her motives in Part 2. It was bad storytelling and majority of it made no sense as the characters were constantly contradicting themselves.

I really don’t think the writers themselves know why Jin Seol ran trapped Naksu tbh. Because she can see the future so she only needed to come home and open UK’s energy gate and retrieve the ice stone from Jin Mu and set things in motion, there was no need for Naksu in all honesty

You are a hater no need to apologise to me but you should check yourself and review in a honest way. We all like different things, however these people are following scripts and directions from the director. GYJ cannot play a role that she wasn’t given , she even asked why she was standing behind LJW in the end and the director said because she is not Naksu but a Devine Priestess. So blame the writers and Directors and not the damn actors as it’s the writers that Fucked up by making the characters change.
LJW made it clear that he for one struggled with the change in his character and didn’t know if he did well because he spent so long playing Uk in part 1 and suddenly his tone had to change in part 2 to a darker version of himself.
I’m pissed with the story but I can’t blame the FL as she did not write her own scripts.
And as I said Mudeok the made up personality was no longer needed so I did not expect her to still be a maid in hiding.
We did see bravery in GYJ when she chased So Yi for the jade and that was the original Naksu’s profile, the way she tilted her head etc, it’s not her fault they made the smoke thing and had her in a bathtub with yul to the rescue and she was still brave she wasn’t scared.
The writing sucked but I wouldn’t say the acting was bad, Naksu was and is GYJ original role so it’s So Min that actually needed to master her Aura not the other way around.

Yet in his interviews he praises GYJ for making everything better for him, she’s light on and off set. His change in character had nothing to do with the actress, it was the script he was given. Stop Hating.

I’m so glad so Min didn’t come back! I got so sick and tired of her expressions as Mudeok the eye rolls god I hated it.
GYJ cried like 2 times , you’re just a fucking Hater with no solid ground, trying to put down another actress because you are a fan of the previous actress that only signed for the first part to play a made up role. Get over yourself.

So Min never made me cry once, I hated her over the top eye rolls and her cheesy expressions even when it wasn’t called for, she did not Play the role of Naksu very well and if you go back and compare GYJ opening scene you will see that So Min only mastered The role of Mudeok which is not Naksu/Cho Yeong’s personality at all, she played Naksu in disguise and even when she was alone with Uk she failed to come out of that character.
They messed up part 2 in many ways but comparing both actresses when they are playing different roles is weird as fuck because we didn’t get a chance to see Cho Yeong’s personality and Naksu was no longer a assassin and had no memories of her baggage so I’m not sure how you expected her to behave like Mudeok when she thinks she’s the sweetest kindest daughter of the prestigious Jin family.
I hated a lot of things in both parts but I also liked things in both parts also.
Stop hating on GYJ because for your information So Min is not a great multi genre actress either she’s great at comedy but not everyone is into too much comedy ( me for example).

Another thing is So Min had zero romantic chemistry with LJW. It was more of a big sister .
LJW and GyJ chemistry was top tier there’s no comparison there as you probably saw that it extended beyond the screens.

There was no real jin Buyeon as her soul was never in the body, it was Jin Seol Ran who died over 200 years ago

Yes , we got a few lovely moments but overall the story was not so good.

Yes I fully understand, he had no inner monologues ,thinking she was familiar or anything to prove that he fell in love with the same soul, especially that she had a complete different personality from the woman he fell for in part 1.
Although I wouldn’t call it cheating as you can’t cheat on a dead person ( he thought she was dead).

I skip everything except the kiss scenes because the chemistry between them is so powerful and the scene where she’s walking through the woods lit by fireflies, I can’t even stand the scene before the fireflies tbh.

Well she didn’t really get justification because the same people that knew it was her in part 1 are the same people that knows it’s her in part 2, with the exception of Jin HoGyeong,she’s still hiding in Jin Buyeon body and identity to everyone else.

Instead of giving them a moment they had CP interrupted the scene and the reaction was then stolen. Then he had another moment, he walks away saying he would have to slay her if he admitted it’s her, so he was grieving, longing for her to come back so he could kill her?
It all makes no sense at all.

Yes he suddenly became slow in every plot that includes Naksu, he was still quick witted in his scenes with Park Jin etc but whenever it came to Naksu he became so slow it was painful to watch because it was so bizarre.
The Director must have written part 2 because I could barely recognise the characters in part 2.
Naksu told Yul she’s pretty but stupid , yet in part 1 she was just as quick witted as Uk 🙄I’m so disappointed with part 2 and it intensifies every single time I come here and read a new viewer’s questions or reviews.
