such a cute and funny drama being dragged due to a messy schedule, however good the show is waiting a long time just kills the energy that the broadcasted episodes create😑😑. It was already bad that they decided to broadcast it once a week because it isn't the type of genre that usually can attract an audience who can take the suffering of waiting, unlike those thriller or mystery genre which keeps you at the edge all the time making the wait full of suffering yet worth it. But now it 2 weeks per episode 🫠🫠.
It's not her biological son. But yes, it's the left state minister's grandson
wait so FL's son is actually not her but didn't he call her mother like even the Korean word used by him he referred to her as his mother? I actually was surprised when the son was revealed because usually the flashbacks consist of a whole family for happy moments and also most Childers are always around the mothers whereas in the drama she kind of lives alone as with the appearance of the room and her sleeping alone, etc. Raising a child and still being able to sneak out for work is not possible due to the spontaneous or unpredictable nature of children. And the FL doesn't even like that old, they usually add visual cues to make characters look older so that they can fit the usual image of a parent. Thus it was quite surprising when the son was revealed.
wait so ML's heart aches whenever he spots a couple is actually due to his powers as an agent of love?😂😂 I thought it was because he has been forever single thus his heart aches when he sees couples😂. Also, I noticed a lot of people are talking about dropping the series and not happy with ML or FL. But I feel like this drama is worth the watch although it might not be a top-rated one worthy of being in someone's favorites but that's not the point to begin with when watching any content at all rather the point is entertainment. Comical stories tend to be repetitive and sometimes overused yet in terms of making people laugh they never lack due to the smooth execution, direction, and acting in the drama. Plus you can't have comedy without comical characters and here this drama seems to have just the right recipe to be one of the few yet really good comedy dramas out this year. When I see people complaining about dramas most of the time it's just because they expect the wrong things from the wrong dramas it's like watching a high school drama and complaining about why characters are indecisive and immature, like watching slight romance and complaining about lack of romance😂😂. When people complain about the right stuff it makes sense like how bad the cheer-up drama turned out to be after such a promising start, etc. That makes sense because that was an actual problem, compared to that here the story, the direction, the acting, etc. all fit quite well, the visuals, the character line up all are top notch.
He is a lord and she is a peasant. So he is clearly in a dominant position. But I guess, his horniness... err,…
She is married into a noble family so she can't be a peasant by any chance because only nobles could marry Nobles unless one of them gives up the title or gets a title. And I don't think his horniess is the main cause of his flustration, imagine being the most qualified individuals in all of joseon in terms of qualities and intelligence getting recognition from even the royal family and the court, but still not being favoured by your own family and sold into marriage just to become a widower who lives in a prison like environment losing both his career and chance of ever finding love and even after trying for 8 years you can't get out of all this rather just getting used over and over again by people who put you into this problem to help your ungrateful family make progress. So I think if he falls for the FL it won't be primarily because of his horniness😂 although it will be one of the many reasons as in any relationship.
What kind of logic, king widowed son-in-law cannot remarry? Does this beginning of the series bestowing a mixed…
In royal families after getting married getting a divorce or re-marriage was something not permitted in those times you might even be deemed a traitor (you kind of become the property of the royal family like all the vessels working under them in the palace) moreover there were even chances of them getting killed just so that they can accompany their partner in afterlife. Actually, I was rather surprised how ML even lived because the princess died during the wedding thus ML would most likely be deemed unlucky or a bad omen for the royal family and killed to appease the superstition (just like how due to a fake story of spirit or something even the crown prince cannot marry until it's taken care of). Also, there was a prejudice against divorces and re-marriage in those times not just in royal families, even normal people getting re-married was a rare thing, especially for women as they were told to never have feelings for anyone or else they would be considered to be un-filial and they also had to take care of their in-laws for the rest of their remaining lives. I think it will be much harder for FL to get re-married than ML as ML can at least get a royal order for annulment of his marriage thus he won't even be considered married let alone a widower. But from the preview, it seems FL loved her previous husband and also she will need her in-law's permission to get re-married, and as it seems her father-in-law is the main villain so it's highly unlikely to happen until the very end of the drama. Thus I think it's going to be a painful journey watching them go back and forth, and most likely actual romance might only happen towards the very end of the drama.
the first episode (although I am only halfway through it) is fantastic the comical elements and the smartness and intelligence of ML and FL are setting quite a high bar. Rowoon here is like Jang Shin Yu (from Destined with You) after the love portion took effect 😂😂 but what I like more is how good FL is in this drama she is already a confident, smart, and caring person, and both ML and FL look like they can fight against each other in terms of capabilities. They are going to be the perfect couple once the romance part kicks in.
I really like the ending it kind of showed that both the game characters of ML and FL as well as the real-world ML and FL are together thus no open-ended and no one is sad at the end. 😍😍
watching episode 19 when the poisoning case happened it was quite shocking for me to watch a mother teach her child to poison people to let her child vent their anger, I actually started to pity Lian Hua Er's mother due to how bad her husband was and as she didn't do anything bad other than gossip so I felt Lian Hua Er got her nature from her father but I guess I was wrong there😱😱. I think Lian Hua Er is a sociopath because she does things that are way above normal everyday crimes like trying to sell her sister for profit even though the sister will die or poisoning people just to vent her anger, etc., and yet she doesn't feel any remorse as if it's just some everyday thing for her like a serial killer.
I think this drama was meant to be a parallel-world transmigration-themed drama but as it cannot be made that way due to the ban they just edited some parts here and there which is less than 5% (I think even less) of the content of the whole drama to fit in the game theme and made the end look like they kind of meet in the real world and as it was edited last minute so the ML wasn't available or something thus we didn't get to see his face in the extra ending🤣🤣.
And based on some comment about ML becoming a bad character I hope they resolve it fast as it took quite an ugly…
Thank you for your response actually I too like the ML so far, to me it sounded quite contradictory when people mentioned him doing wrong things. Also, I hope he is not an NPC as for me a happy ending in real world for FL is more important or if she somehow if gets stuck here and this world kind of becomes the parallel world that too works for me😂😂.
I am on episode 14 can someone tell if the identity of ML inside the game has been revealed or not? because now I don't know why it hasn't been revealed yet, as the ending is going to take place in the real world anyway so his real identity should be the mystery, not the in-game one.
I am on episode 14 can someone tell if the identity of ML inside the game has been revealed or not? because now…
And based on some comment about ML becoming a bad character I hope they resolve it fast as it took quite an ugly turn in Romance of Tiger and Rose where FL took all the worst choices she could possibly take trying to avoid the story which became so complex and nearly broke the parallel world's story.
episode 9 was the best so far, the FL's maternal side of the family is so cool, if they lived in the same village our FL's life would have been smooth from the very beginning😂😂. They are portrayed here as merchants with martial arts skills, I hope they will really like the ML because apart from being intentionally lazy he seems more convincing to be from FL's maternal side of the family than FL herself😂😂. I like the SML too but not for FL but I don't want him to end up alone the writer better give him a satisfying ending too because to me SML seems a ditto copy of FL's parent prompting higher chances of him being the actual main character in the game who marries FL's character but as our FL ending up in the body and our ML (who may or may not be an NPC) appeared things changed and thus FL and ML now seem more compatible and cute together and not the SML and FL.
I understand about the Asian family dynamics, but from others dramas it is shown that having a son (nearly wrote…
I think the family values scholars more than sons as in those times the only way to change your family's fate in ancient China was to make one of your sons a government official. Also, you can clearly see the grandmother favors her daughter the most then after her, comes the scholar son (who seems more like a scammer to me) so that explains why FL's family isn't treated well plus they also have the habit of not voicing their opinion and thus are easier targets than other characters. I hope something happens and FL's family breaks off and lives on their own while FL does business or something to earn money.
so many characters whom I would like to gift a really big punch, seriously so many to-face characters who are ungrateful, judgy, arrogant, and lazy af. Only the FL's intermediate family is the one that I like yet hate them sometimes when they don't take her side. I especially hate Lian Hua Er she really just only knows scheming and can't do shit just a dead weight. The ML and FL in this drama look really cute together, the way ML only helps when FL is involved really gives off the feeling that she finally has someone who will take her side and fight for her. Like other people, I too think that ML is from the real world and not an NPC, also even though it's being promoted that he is a bandit that too doesn't really fit his character shown so far (like how can a bandit speak like a scholar, know how to write beautifully, wants to live comfortably, doesn't know how to even stuff as if he was always surrounded by servants, and the first thing he buys are paper and pen using FL's money and most of all he is not greedy at all), he could be someone from a good clan who is working undercover for some investigation is what I believe is his plotline or mission. The comical elements are really good plus I really love all the scenes in which ML and FL are shown together as they are very well executed and kind of look natural. I can't wait for there dating era to start so that we have some real romance in the farm and not some family politics drama, with a lot of bullying and no satisfying punishment for the bad.
I was just watching the scene from episode 16 where FL just woke up and ML and his parents are there with her, it kind of felt like she finally has a family and is not alone as she now has people worrying about her and cursing other people for her. Also, I guess this is the first drama in which ML's parents are concerned more about their own child rather than the FL, it was nice to hear why ML's father didn't approve of FL as he wanted ML to live a happy, simple and peaceful life and the FL's life was just too complex and eventful. This is something that only happens in dramas with FL's parents saying this to ML and ML trying to get their approval irrespective of the fact that whether it's his life that's complex or FL's, we also often see ML's parents actually pushing him to help the FLs all the time as if they know their child has a plot armor😂😂, it's quite refreshing as it was shown in this drama in a different light.
I don't think the FL is going to die, I know the drama is bouncing back and forth between the dark and rom-com genres but it's not dark to the point that someone will die from the main cast, especially not ML or FL. Getting back to today's episode it was really really really good I loved how this drama has so many good romance scenes here and there and the way ML switches from his cold demeanor to a lovestruck teenager every time he sees FL is so funny yet cute to look at. Another thing that I noted about this drama is maybe they are showing divorces in a different way usually in drama the divorces are ugly and the couple have like really really awful reasons to get divorced but here I think it's shown in a way in which the the couple start talking about things that they have bottled up till now while the other one hears those concerns and tries to fix them. To me, ML's parents just seem like any other couple who just stopped communicating and drifted apart slowly, with some other problems such as ML's dad taking ML's mom for granted and not paying enough attention to her. I don't think they will get divorced rather things will get fixed well at least that's what I am rooting for, although it isn't that bad even though they go through with it. The only thing I hated about today's episode is again the SFL was let off easy even though we can clearly see that she has no remorse whatsoever. Seriously the things she did to FL were all straight-up crimes yet she walks free with pride like she owns the place.
I found it a little strange that in ep 13 the shaman told FL that everything should have been okay if she were to not meet ML in this lifetime but due to destiny they always do, which I find is quite contradictory because ML was suffering from the red hand all along and it was anyways gonna get severe which I am sure ML knew too thus he wanted to enjoy his life with FL for as much long is left of it. So her leaving him kind of just makes ML suffer more with no positive outcome at all😂. And the shaman gave a hint (she really knows how to talk cryptically) that unless they die the curse can't be lifted thus ML getting stabbed or being hit by a truck might solve everything😂😂. For the episodes left I really want the SFL to suffer some consequences at least because although ML was really cool putting an end to his relationship with her (best possible reaction ever by a main character) by revealing her cheating but acting like she was nothing to him anyways was really refreshing but even after that still she came back creating trouble, to which he just warns her back and does nothing afterward, but then she goes again and does something else🤨🤨❓.
oh my god, they are just way too cute when in the relationship, the way ML can say those cringy yet cute romantic dialogues with so much ease and expression is really different than what you would usually see in other dramas. The way in which apart from all the cute and comical scenes ML and FL are shown to also care a lot about each other's mental state and concerns really shows how mature they are in the relationship and also as an individual.
Also, I noticed a lot of people are talking about dropping the series and not happy with ML or FL. But I feel like this drama is worth the watch although it might not be a top-rated one worthy of being in someone's favorites but that's not the point to begin with when watching any content at all rather the point is entertainment.
