I sense a grumpy person behind that comment. Adaptations aren't always exactly the same as the original source. They are twins, I read it, but the rest is pretty much the same. I don't know how the story will unfold but just the main idea is the same as 'Hello monster'.

Yep. That's what I wrote. XD They just tolerated him, made it clear it was difficult 'for them' to deal with him and sometimes make fun of the situation. I don't blame them for not knowing how to help an addict but I guess it's easy for them to blame on Ray everything else, even Mew's behavior consequence of the person she invited without asking and the other friend she is defending while sh!tting on Ray.
