A lot of japanese dramas have good premises but idk why they relied too much on long dialogues, so the dramas…
I love long conversations in jdramas as long as they make sense. This drama is one of those that have thoughtful long dialogues. It makes the whole interaction more emotional and realistic. This is just my preference though.
I'm at episode 4 and I'm really amazed by the writing. The time travel plot was used right. I'm thankful that it was added to Netflix so I get the chance to watch it.
My least favorite right now is episode 2 because of the constant shouting of the son to his Mom. I just don't like how he expressed his feelings. His facial expressions also bothered me.
Thank you for your replies.... I suppose it's not that rare to have plots re-used and re-imagined. We get that…
Wow. I'm not aware of Deadman Wonderland since I'm not an avid anime watcher. But reading the plot, Squid Game must be based mostly from that. Then the idea of using children's games from As The Gods Will.
Thoroughly enjoyed the first episode.... but I cannot be the only one to be eerily reminded of the plot of SQUID…
Just continue, it's very different from Squid Game.
Also, Squid Game isn’t the first to come up with this kind of plot. If you’re aware of the 2000 Japanese movie Battle Royale and the many other Japanese films about death games, you wouldn’t think that way about Last Samurai Standing. Japan has been using this plot for decades, and Korea has only just started. If anything, Squid Game is the one that copied.
They just can’t accuse Japan of plagiarism like that. Hope that helps 😊.
The description of the drama interested me, but in fact it is very average, sometimes even bad! First of all,…
But there are jdramas with good acting and a natural feel. Have you watched "First Love: Hatsukoi" and "Beyond Goodbye"? Those are my definition of perfect visuals and acting-wise.
I won’t deny that some of the characters in this series act weird sometimes, but I still liked it.
Thanks! I'm new to discord and I just joined from the link on his/her wordpress. I don't have any idea how things work there HAHA I'll read the procedure.

Killing life for a huge amount and getting shot if rules are disobeyed aren't new plot at all.

As for Last Man Standing, it kept me awake past midnight. This is the kind of show only Japan can make, I guess.
10/10 ✨️

Japan is making really great dramas since 2021.
