I think episode 28 is a good point to end if you want a happy ending and don't mind that the big problem is not resolved yet.

All moments between Yuan and Zheng we've seen on screen had always been Anaran acting as Zheng. The first moment we saw where Zheng rescued Yuan in the dark was Anaran acting as Zheng. This is shown by Anaran having the teeth scar from Yuan biting him on his arm. The scene where Yuan asked Zheng to help her out with her talisman and feeding the asparagus wonton is also Anaran acting as Zheng. Anaran is the one who is allergic to asparagus and we also saw Anaran's version of that scene so it's definitely him. The last scene of their student days where Zheng received his sword and act coldly toward Yuan is also Anaran acting as Zheng as the real Zheng is dead by that time. Yuan and the real Zheng probably met before, but it was never shown on screen for us.

If you're questioning why Huaizhu isn't telling Qinlan that Hongye is the masked hero that Qinlan prefers, it's not really Huaizhu place to reveal Hongye's identity to Qinlan. Huaizhu asked Hongye if he want to reveal his identity to Qinlan and Hongye said no so Huaizhu left that as is. If it's about why not tell Qinlan that she's together with Hongye. I don't really have an answer to that. I guess Huaizhu doesn't want to lie and say that she no longer like the masked man because she still do (since he's Hongye), so she became ambiguous.

I mean, yeah, Tony isn't the boss of SI like how Nanggong Ye is for Inspection Bureau, but I was just making a very simple analogy between the two movie/drama. They're not 100% 1:1 the same, but close enough to get the idea across.

Have you seen the MCU movies? If you haven't, this analogy might not make sense.

Look at Tony Stark. He's affiliated with the Avengers and Stark Industries, but the Avengers and Stark Industries are not one and the same. The Avengers does benefit from Stark Industries acting as their contractor, but Stark Industries is not a part of the Avengers. Of course there's more to this, but this is like the most simple version.

So see it as Yiqi Alliance = Avengers, Inspection Bereau = Stark Industries, Nanggong Family = Tony Stark
