I personally would like to see it as male lead focus. But, they just followed the novel as female POV. In this kind of situation, I've seen some actors and their teams pulled strings to make them as male focused instead by adding more scenes and changing the original materials which were female POV. Bai Jingting was never one of them, also in Reset and New Life Begins, he let them to be female POV even with his name as top-billing.
