During the call on the rooftop at the party, is he aware that 406 is Hee-jo? Because right after that scene, we jump to the police station, where he learns that she can talk.
What do y'all think? Is this scene before or after that moment?
Does Baek Sae-on know sign language? Here are two scenarios that make me believe he is aware of what Hee-joo is talking about.
1) In Episode 4, when he is interviewing Hee-joo, it seems that he understands her. It’s difficult to explain how he knows that she sometimes makes signs before he speaks if he doesn’t have some knowledge of sign language.
2) In Episode 2, during the party, Hee-joo curses at him at the end, and he responds by asking, "Did you just curse at me?"
From these scenarios, I feel that he may not be fully fluent, but he is at least somewhat aware of sign language.
edit: ep 3, 26:49: was it a sign of jealously or he understood it?
this part was rlly ridiculous😑they literally opener pizza box with a bomb inside 🙄
yes, even the person who opened the box was so dumb. no one is aware of the office, only them, and no one ordered the pizza among them. so he should be cautious.
The only explanation they gave was the device malfunctioned in some way and wasn't as powerful as it was supposed…
that's what i am not able to understand. sa eon being far away was unconscious for a few hours but her right-hand man who was adjacent was perfectly fine and was trying to decode the situation. maybe it's a plot hole. i hope he isn't going to betray him.
some of the things that i know from the novel and helped me know her family situation. PS- i haven't read the novel thoroughly because of time constraints. these are some spoilers as it hasn't happened in the drama yet, so please read at your own risk. personally, idts they are major spoilers.

--> how did she become Hong? hee-joo parents divorced and her mother took her and married the chairman. looks like she was pregnant (my speculation) and gave birth to a boy which is why they accepted her in the family (i am not sure if this is the case, they could have loved eo as well) (i think we will know more about this in the later eps).
--> about her pretending to be mute now, they had an accident which led to their son's death and i think hong in-a was also injured. but hee-joo was fine. so her mother told her to stop speaking, otherwise the chairman would abandon them. (this scenario will also get more clear in the latter eps)
--> known eo for 20 years sae-on and hee-joo have known eo since they were 9 years old. it was since hee-joo moved into the hong family. they lived across and sae-on used to tutor in-a and hee-joo would tag along.
