As I was rewatching the SantaPerth kissing scenes, I noticed it was a closed mouth kissing similar to the issue…
I feel funny writing this because why do I even have to explain but Gun only closed his mouth for his first kiss and in the resort because it was sudden for the first and he didn't want to return the kiss for the latter, he opened his mouth in their make up kiss after he tied Yotha's tie.

For novel readers what is the actual backstory between Yotha/Wa and Klao? I don't think the backstory is going…
In the novel, when Yotha was still heartbroken over his parents' divorce, Wa was the one who comforted and supported him. It was platonic, but Yotha became attached to him. Then when Wa broke up with his bf, it was Yotha who stayed by his side. They ended up dating, and Wa became Yotha's whole world. But Wa eventually realized that what they had wasn't love, it was dependency. They broke up, but Yotha still couldn't move on, so he started breaking up couple to get Wa's attention, hoping that someday they'd go back together. But then Wa met Klao, so he eventually gave up any hope. Still, he didn't stop breaking up couple because he had no reason to stop, and him lingering around Wa made Klao jealous, which was why they fought often. They probably will change some details in the series though, since Wa and Yotha's dynamic was so different from the novel. In the novel they were friendly, their relationship totally became platonic and Wa often helped him when he got in trouble with his victims.

New is never my favorite director and even for this series I also have some complaints (he knows no moderation when it comes to back tracks and sfx) but let me praise him and the scriptwriter a bit. I like how in the series, the implication of darkness and sunshine are implemented more heavily than in the novel. Yotha grew up in a very toxic environment, and he totally shut himself off from everyone. Even if he did hang out with his peer mentors, it was always out of politeness, he still put on a wall to prevent them from getting close. Even in ep 13, we could see Gun being supported and protected by his friends while he was completely alone. Then we saw him running from his dark room to Gun's bright one, for me it implied that he finally decided to try to open his heart and step into Gun's world. So far he did let Gun step into his world, but he never thought to do the opposite, and even reluctant at first when Gun tried to pull him into his world. But at that moment he threw it all away in order to be with Gun, which was why he was able to reach out and open up to Arm. It must've required a lot of determination and courage from him, stepping out from his bubble, and I'm loving that character development. Of course he'll still need a lot more of it before he can manage a healthy relationship with Gun, but at least it's a first step. I actually like Yotha's character in the series more than the novel, his actions make more sense to me, and he feels more three-dimensional and complex. Also Perth's and Santa's acting skill are exceptional, can't believe they did this great with barely any preparation and only one workshop. I'm excited to see how they'll do with proper preparation.

Well to be fair Yotha isn't capable of communicating normally, like he's someone who created a whole questionnaire…
We can think that way because we're a different kind of person from them and only seeing them from a third person POV, not personally involved. Seeing from their perspective and considering their situation and personality, it's actually understandable. They did need to talk, but Gun wasn't in a space where he could talk about it calmly at that time. It was only a few days after it happened, he needed time to organize his thoughts and feelings. Like, he even needed time to process the fact that he liked Yotha, what do you expect. You could see Gun's friends examining his reaction when he saw Yotha, he was clearly not ready to face him, that was why they blocked him. They'll probably talk about it next ep. While Klao and Wa, they had been in that cycle for a year, of course it was different.

To be fair he did know what he apologized for so it wasn't totally meaningless, he just didn't know he apologized…
It depends on the person I guess. Gun seemed to see his sincerity despite it not being the apology he wanted. I don't even think he actually wanted an apology, he was just insecure, upset, and disappointed. What he needed was certainty.

An apology is meaningless if you don't know what you apologise for -.-
To be fair he did know what he apologized for so it wasn't totally meaningless, he just didn't know he apologized for the wrong reason.

How does one apologise for something for which they don't know why/what they are apologising? Yotha thinks he…
Well to be fair Yotha isn't capable of communicating normally, like he's someone who created a whole questionnaire to get to know someone yk. And Gun was too hurt to talk to him, he looked like he was about to cry everytime he saw him. I think I understand why Faifa didn't tell him. At that moment Yotha was being too ambiguous, he needed to figure out by himself what Gun meant to him, what his feeling was for him, and what he wanted from him. If Faifa had just told him and let them talk, soft-hearted Gun would definitely forgive him and they'd still stay in that ambiguous relationship. Realizing how much Gun loved Yotha, he probably thought Gun would only get hurt again because of Yotha if they stayed that way, especially since he knew very well about his brother's trauma. He might want Yotha to learn from this incident and change himself for the better, because even if he tried to talk some sense to Yotha he never listened, he was just too stubborn.

Wow thanks for the new perspective

Sometimes I wish I have less empathy so I can just get upset and complain like others instead of feeling bad reading them... this is tiring.

Ep 13 gave me so many feels, it still lingers even if it's been a while since I finished watching. Some of the characters are messy, I'm not justifying their actions but I understand them, so much that they made me sad too. Love how Gun's friends were so supportive and protective of him, it really showed how different his world was from Yotha's. Now that makes me sad too. Time to listen to sappy songs.

So Faifa's friend was in love with him. Since she didn't confess to him, he couldn't reject her, so he wanted her to give up by herself quickly. Then Kong came up with a brilliant idea (lol) for him to pretend that he was in love, but it should be with someone who wouldn't catch feelings for him and impossible for him to date since he didn't want to pretend dating someone. That's why they chose Gun 😂😂

Please understand him he had been jealous of Faifa since Gun called him a good boy 😂😂
It's in ep 11, when they were in Yotha's room at the bar. Yotha said Faifa preferred to stay at home to keep their father company, and Gun called him a good boy for that.

Me too! Probably because Arc no longer acted up lol. And the way Arm let Yotha get away with fooling Gun 🤣🤣🤣

You all can't be serious when you try to criticize Santa's character like he's not doing the best job ever. I…
Oh well, too bad that your first impression and judgement of him makes you unable to see the maturity he's shown often from the first ep of their arc, but each to their own I guess. And I honestly didn't see how he was acting like a 6 y.o. Santa was supposed to act as a 17 y.o guy, still pretty much a teenager, so his real age didn't matter. For me the way he act was still acceptable for that age, but again each to their own I guess.

So in the novel before Gun realized his feelings Yotha hurt him with his words. Yotha immediately regretted it…
Well, I didn't think he was a red flag in the series, so imo he wasn't one in the novel too. I'm actually confused why people thought he was a red flag 🤔
