Dropped it after ep 1 just because I knew I'd feel bad for the SML lol. This is why I dislike love triangle 😮‍💨

Read through some reviews and comments and it feels like I'm the only one who liked the ending lol. Different people, different preferences, and for me who love complex characters this series is so enjoyable to watch. Imo Jira ending up with Koh was very true to his character. He was attracted to the complexities, contrasts, and vulnerabilities within a human, and he saw all of it in Koh. Then when he painted him, just like he said, he emotionally bonded with Koh, which grew deeper and deeper as he kept on doing it. Meanwhile, his feelings for Pheem was never deep. He liked how comfortable Pheem made him feel, and Pheem just happened to be his type. That's why instead of painting him, he preferred talking to him instead. He wanted to bond with Pheem the way he did with Koh, but the Pheem he had been seeing was unable to burn the passion within him. That was because before he found out about everything between Jira and Koh, he never showed his real self, due to him putting Jira on a pedestal. That made him unable to truly see Jira as a person. He listened to his rants, but never really considered Jira's struggle as part of him. He was neither able to sympathize nor empathize. Meanwhile, Koh did. Koh saw Jira as the person he was, and understood his struggle because he had gone through it before. Besides burning his passion, Koh also made Jira felt seen and appreciated. Through Koh, he found confidence, something he had been longing for. So he felt attached to him, no matter how much he wanted to reject it. Whether what he felt was love, who knows, there's never a fixed definition for love anyway. By the time Pheem show his real self to Jira, it was too late. The strongest feeling Jira had for him was guilt from causing him such a pain, which made him want to set him free as shown in his painting, which was why he let him go. And the reason Jira returned to Koh at the end despite their clashing philosophy, aside from Koh being his muse, was because he kept on growing that emotional bond with Koh by painting him. It was already too deep for him to be able to move on from Koh. Imo the relationship between Jira and Pheem is actually more toxic and unhealthy than it is with Koh. I also think that them not resolving the difference between Jira and Koh regarding the use of AI is very true to the purpose of the series, which is showing reality, not solution. It never meant to judge, it just showed people with their own flaws and ideals, while throwing food for thoughts directed at real people represented by the characters.

I'm not excusing anything? Just saying it was in the title so no surprise there?

Well, there's a reason for the title. The main cp aren't the only maniacs there. Everyone is.

I heard Tay said TayNew was offered 2 series, but they decided to do only one series instead and they didn't know whether it would be included in GMMTV2026 or GMMTV2027. Imo it'll be the latter just so they have a reason to attend the presentation.

It's literally in the description right on this page 😂😂 if you're looking for English title there's none since the novel hasn't published any official English translation yet. If they ever publish one they'll probably just use the series title.

Why should it be smokey red? Why not smokey blue?

It's rare for me to like both the series and the manga but I do for this one. I've always loved how quiet Japanese productions are, but the downside is it becomes easy to make a scene feel awkward imo. Apart from the good plot, the fact that there's none of that is amazing, so kudos for the directors and the actors. Love the series so much.

Well, I can't say much since I've only read the sample, which is no more than a few chapters in the beginning. But so far it's just as the trailer showed, which is Gun (Perth) wanting both Aiyara (Santa) and the land he owned. Not much happened aside from Gun trying to make Aiyara submit to him and Aiyara fighting him with his all, also some background stories. It still hasn't reach the point where they like each other. Like the author said, it's black flag x red flag, that much is clear from the get go. About the difference between the novel and the trailer, what I noticed the most is the dynamic between Gun and Niran (Tytan). In the trailer, Gun said he thought of Niran as a brother, while in the novel, Niran was a prostitute working under Gun, and he was Gun's favorite. Calling him brother after all that is weird imo, also Niran saying he'd give anything if Gun wanted more which didn't make sense if Gun already "owned" him. So I'm guessing they'll probably tweak his character and his relationship with Gun. But well, since it's only the pilot trailer, they can still change it. So it's still possible for them to end up following the novel.

Read the novel's sample and after comparing it to the trailer seems like they'll change a lot of things. I'm liking most of the changes GMMTV made from the novel they adapted so far, at least the ones I watched, so I hope that will be the case too with this one. The characters will show new sides from Perth and Santa, especially the latter, which will be refreshing to see and I'm excited for that.

It's just like PPW JG TN whose series was being cancelled. So JG's series was announced by the end of OFDO, TN's will probably too by the end of ADAAP, and PPW's will probably at the end of PAM or their concert. Since PS's series was given to someone else, it's logical that they also have a new series being announced for 2026, regardless of when it will be aired. GMMTV is sticking to their intention to give all cps at least one 2026 series.

It's the reason why many couple irl broke up. Rather than falling out of love, I'd rather say it faded. There are a lot of hints why it happened. They were just not compatible to begin with. Wen had been trying to be someone he wasn't in order to please Alan, while Alan was the kind of person who barely gave his partner space. As time went on it worn out the love Wen had for Alan and he eventually come to a point where he had enough, while Alan was blissfully unaware of it because he was the type who lived in his own head, that's why the breakup came as a surprise for him. Their problem was they failed to communicate, another reason why a lot of couple broke up irl. Their breakup was very realistic. It didn't just happen, it took years of build up to reach that point. It's different with Jim because they had seen each other in their lowest, they actually communicated pretty well, and they understood each other.

If you hate them enough to not want to say their name, many of us webtoon and novel readers call them Trashta and Sovieshit, you can use them if you want lol.

I feel like they'll rush the first part of the story until Navier's marriage with Heinley so it won't take long for them to get together. There's no way they don't give enough time for Navier's feelings to grow after marriage. And just realized that the third male lead isn't in the cast too, so seems like they really cut A LOT.

They probably cut and change a lot from the plot and the characters. Like I don't even see the girl Navier sponsored in the cast, so she probably won't be in the story and even if she is, the significance of her role in the story will probably be reduced by a lot, no more than a cameo role.

Since this is a Disney+ series, it probably won't cover the whole story and we'll get season 2 if it's successful.

Death is definitely coming for him, but when he said that, he wasn't at the death's door yet. Ryu had come to take care of him until the end, and that exchange happened while they were on a trip. Even the fact that Johan was still able to talk smoothly showed that he still had time before his death, since he was supposedly losing function of his muscles bit by bit until he was unable to breathe by himself. So imo it's not a goodbye, since they still have time to be together after saying that and it's not just a day or two, probably even months. Like you said, it is SELDOM used in romantic contexts, unless a particular intensity or urgency is required. Johan said it after more or less 7 years of missing and yearning for him, also Ryu left his family including his daughter behind in Japan and stayed in Berlin for him, so isn't it also reasonable to think that the word came from the intensity of his feelings instead of urgency?

Will you say that to a friend though? Like if you, a Japanese, said I love you to someone else in their language and they said aishiteru in return (they're fluent in Japanese to the point of becoming a teacher) in the middle of a drive, are both of you friends? Just purely curious, what would a Japanese think in that situation? Also the person who said that was someone you lived with for quite a while, always cooked for you, supported you through ups and downs, liked to draw only you, drew a picture book for you, missed you more than the baby they raised and loved together with you while they were away, left a video message especially for you when they were near their death door, said seeing you make them want to continue living, wanted you to be part of the last sight he saw btw. Genuinely curious of what you would've thought of their aishiteru in that situation. Would you think they said that in the context of being friends? If yes and they were actually in love romantically with you, what would it take for you to get it if that word failed to convey that to you?
