I'm rewatching it, and men, this drama is good! I loved back then and love it until now. 100 out of 10. Each and every episode keeps you on your toes. I think it continues to have one of the most beautiful drama cinematography ever. The actors are great, although I'm not a big fan of Esther Yu, she did a very good job (not childish). Ryan Cheng was a amazing, I would live to watch him in more wuxia, but I looks like it's gonna take some time. Forever sad that this will not have a second season.
Me in a nutshell exactly the most satisfying xianxia that even beat the best rated Eternal love exactly no boring…
I get you, the new dramas are more engaging, but you have to consider that the drama industry developed a lot. So the old dramas like Aches of love don't have the same quality for production, CGI etc. , but are classic amazing stories. I kind of fell you can't compare, because they represent the best in 2018.
Watching this shortly after Fangs of Fortune is a weird experience lolevery 5 minutes: "Wait, I recognize this…
Yesss, the filming locations are the same. Those are also the same as The Double, Lost you forever and some others. Another day I was complaining that the scenarios are being repetitive for wuxia/xianxia lol
This is fun and light, I had a good time watching the first episodes. It has comedy moments without being overly dumb. Of course, there are some weird things, like trying to run away with the most scandalous dress ever. But this means that it is one of those dramas that doesn't take itself too serious, which is not a bad thing.
There is only one thing that I would like: that the other 3 disciples got more into action. I know Ran Ran is the main, but they could help, participate more, most of the time they are just standing there.
I decided to watch again this xianxia while waiting for others to come up.It continues to be one of the most interesting…
In most dramas, if you commit less mistakes than Bailing, you lose your immortality and never can transcend to the heavens again. He should be condemned forever, throw into the void, anything more serious than what happened. But here, they said the bad things he did, remove his spiritual powers and let's live go on? Even with the possibility of coming back to heavens to "listen the emperor teachings again". Man, you should be banned from heaven forever. I really get the "don't seek revenge thing", but in this case, I completely disagree. At least he should suffer what he did to the others, that would be JUSTICE, not revenge. What makes me annoyed is that everyone is sorry for HIM? Crying and saying don't go. What about everyone else he killed, all the bad things he did? The genocide? All the lies and manipulation? How come no one is angry?? Even the emperor hopes he comes back? I'm so mad. I have never seen a more light punishment for someone that truly deserved it.
I decided to watch again this xianxia while waiting for others to come up. It continues to be one of the most interesting I have watched! But the end always makes me angry. How came everyone just forgive Bailing like that? Come on, that is ridiculous. Because +
I am also dying inside myself because I desperately need Cheng Yi's vuxia/xianxia dramas where the story makes…
I love Cheng Yi. But if you are interested, Ren Jia Lun is another amazing actor that makes heartbreaking dramas, I cried my eyes out with Love of Nirvana. If you like short dramas, Richard Li´s dramas are great, considering they are short dramas.

I also put this one in my top list along Ashes of Love, The Starry Love and the new Moonlight Mystique.

I watched each episode every day and didn't want it to end.
I started to watch, but now I regret it, because it's so good and I would like to binge watch, but I can't.
