You’re right about that, but mostly when they mix genre, they fail to keep the balance until the end. It’s almost for sure that as it goes to the end, they start focusing on the heavier genre side.

Specifically, I would love thriller with romance as side rather than romance with thriller on the side. I would still watch it if the two component is equally good tho, so as long they don’t just slap murder to the story just for the sake of it.

His last romcom before this should be Please Don’t Date Him, that was quite nice. When he was in NH he keep getting casted on idol role, so I think after his contract with UKISS ended, he tried these villain roles to breaktrough. It also helped that he got love calls for villain role after DP.

I wish he can do more romcom after doaff. He is perfect for romcom. But I also wish he can try other roles too, I think he’s capable of doing more.

Agree nowadays romcom turns into melodrama or worse, suddenly criminal investigations started entering the story 😩 I can only recommend gaus electronic that aired 2 years ago. Will I need to wait for 2 years again for drama like Doaff to come out? 🫠
