Fact is S1 drama has outpaced the source webcomic in some scenes (a bit like Game of Thrones drama vs novel). But…
Damnn I can't wait, hope the season 2 comes soon!

Is this worth it? The premise is good so I've tried watching it twice but still couldn't get through ep1.It feels…
I really like it, just finished it today after started binging it yesterday.

I think it really fits my tastes, there is comedy yet there is sad moments that made me cry, there is serious action and heartfelt discussion. Try to watch a few episodes more and see if it's to your taste.

All the people hating on this are those who have watched original version(Someday or One Day) but luckily I didn't…
Well true, no harm without comparison

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
I watched the original a few days after this came out. The original version is really classic, the korean version…
Alright, I'll be truthful. If the remake was up to me, I would probably rewrite the entire thing, make it run in nearly linear time, add a special episode of how the time travel first happened and how the original story before time travel is, and delete every part regarding the murder. The murder plot is full of holes, to be honest, and this problem came up because junhee/huang yuxuan told everything to the killer, which would make anyone mad.

But I can't deny that the fact I spent so much time trying to piece things together is a testament to how good the original was. And I did put together some fitting theory by making junhee/huang yuxuan the first-time traveler, so I felt fine watching it.

For me, the theory is like this: (this could be special ep)
That day in the original timeline when minju got hit by a car she actually died. And this would cause ingyu to resent siheon. After graduation, siheon was supposed to go abroad, and he did, causing him to never repair his friendship with ingyu. In the original timeline, he met junhee and married her. His regrets in life should be about minju's death and his friendship with ingyu. I feel like time travel happens for a reason, and this is the reason. Maybe after siheon died of old age, junhee somehow went back in time to meet him in 1998 when he is still in high school. Like a butterfly effect, this changed a lot of things. And also caused the subsequent time loop.

I can't do anything to the remake, but I hoped the remake would be like this: (made based on original SOOD character personality)

1st ep starts with minju, siheon, and ingyu interaction, up to the point when minju confesses to siheon and gets into a car accident.

2nd ep starts with junhee in college, helping yeonjun who got lost, and then suddenly yeonjun confessing to her. It adds to the mystery, in the previous episode, the same face has a different name, and the guy rejected the girl now chases the girl? What is it? Amnesia? Reincarnation?
The story can spend some time here to make us fall in love with this couple (this is my favorite part in SOOD). It was just so good, how they interact and gradually fell in love.

3rd ep should still be happy but add some discordant facts. We know the original yeonjun is gay, so I felt like it was a waste not to use this fact to make people curious and suspect him. It's also puzzling to me that the fact that yeonjun past life somehow does not add something to the story and he is a completely simple plot device. I would add a scene where his acquaintances witness him with junhee and are puzzled since they know he is a gay.

4th ep should be when the breakup happens. And the episode should end with how yeonjun meets siheon at the airport. It would make viewers curious, why is there someone with exactly the same face?
The fact they let 200 people die on board is very unsettling, I would've fixed it here.

5th ep, the plane never flew because there was a warning call from an anonymous person. Yeonjun did not die. This part is important because I don't know why yeonjun needs to die. If he doesn't die, then maybe siheon just go into a coma longer? I feel like it would be more beneficial to keep him, since if they failed something at the current time, they would be able to fix it by telling him. And if they want junhee to go back in time for him, siheon could just fake yeonjun death by a hiking accident or something. His corpse was never found anyway in the remake.

6th ep, should be part that show how depressed junhee is after yeonjun dies, and how she glimpses someone similar to yeonjun. The episode should end with her receiving the tape, listening to it, and going back in time.

7th ep, she lived as minju and thought that her life as junhee is a dream, this part is in line with the original SOOD. We, viewers, would also be tricked into believing that. But at the end of the episode, she waked up and return back to the 2019.

8th ep should be about her finding clues that minju is a real person, not just a dream. The remake deleted this part, but in the original, junhee was supposed to be in a technology company and there's a new app that can scan for people with identical faces. That's how she found out the trio's photo. Then it goes to how she finds the cafe in the photo's background. And then the ep ends, she receives minju's diary, flipped to the last page that says 'he is actually yeonjun'. So she used the tape again to return back in time.

9th ep should end the same way as the original SOOD, with her seeing the same drawing yeonjun has in siheon room.

10th ep, I feel frustrated at how clueless junhee role was even in the original SOOD, so I would make her be able to find some clues about the relationship of yeonjun and siheon. The ep should end with her meeting both yeonjun and siheon, since yeonjun's death were fake.

I would insert a special ep explaining how things began here. If we made that minju was supposed to die anyway (not because of suicide), then the time travel done by junhee wouldn't feel so wrong since she was able to save minju because of it.

11th ep, actually I don't know how to solve the murderer going in time part. So it's easier to reason it as someone envious of minju grades or because someone like siheon. The reason just needs to be something that is caused by junhee going into minju's body, since minju's grade would never have dropped had it not been for junhee (causing the murder to rise up in ranking maybe), and siheon would not like her too. Ends with the tape being burned.

I would prefer the murderer not to be a psychopath, since we would need another episode on how to arrest him. Better make it minju tries to suicide, ingyu tries to stop her, and accidentally stabs her, but the one who pushes her off accidentally is the actual murderer. But ingyu doesn't know since he was trying to call for help/ambulance and did not see it. That's why he kept blaming himself in the altered timeline.

12th ep should be the episode to wrap up everything. How everything changed, minju and ingyu dating, siheon going abroad but still friends with both of them, siheon meeting junhee (while in the college of course), and most importantly how because of the time travel they could save yeonjun and taeha. Because I feel this should be the best compensation for people who had their bodies taken.

I feel like they could save them just by appearing to have vacation in the same place, then the car broke down so they need to ask for a ride from yeon jun and taeha. That way they would not be distracted and go into car accident.

Anyway, that's all from me as a script nurse. I can't write stories but I like to break them up.

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
Is the original as "complex" as this one? Ppl even say the korean is better so I guess so.. If so I wonder why…
I watched the original a few days after this came out. The original version is really classic, the korean version did well too, but it’s not at the level of classic to me. You should try the original version. People said the ep 1 is quite slow but I actually really liked it, especially the version that get cut into 21 episodes from the original 13 episodes. I’d say the cutting makes it has better pacing.

I watched it there: https://runasian.net/drama-detail/someday-or-one-day

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
well it's weird but I would more think of it as funny, imagine someone seeing them together alternately, would…
Actually that’s one of the reason why I prefer the original Someday or One Day. To me AHS feels a little lacking in that area, no matter in what timeline he still feels the same. I couldn’t feel the feeling of youth teenager should have in 1998 siheon. And I couldn’t feel the matureness of men in late 30/early 40 at si heon 2023. To me AHS does it best in college era or mid 20.

The styling in A Time Called You also feels a little lazy at this. Somehow to the stylist late 30s just mean he should be not well kept, with all the beards and dirty fashion. I feel like it’s partially because of AHS features, he just can’t convey that sense of subtle changes. He looks like college student no matter in what age.

In SOOD, the male lead only slicked his hair and changed his outfit a bit, yet he could convey the feeling of mature man. I don’t know what’s different, beats me, but I think this is where ATCY weakness lies.

What I feel kinda different, I don't know if this is right, but I want to believe he still could take care of…
Well I felt that my parents were not perfect either, so I think as long as he truly love his child then it wouldn't be so bad. Like how people needs to take care of their parents that had dementia or how people needs to take care of their deaf child. It's difficult but they didn't wish for that.

I think those that have certain weakness or disability still deserve to feel the happiness of having a child, as long as they love and responsible to them.

Not a bad idea, but where do we to watch it?
Some good movie/shows I know is The Sinking of Van der Wijck (Indonesia) and Nur (Malaysia).
I feel like they have the potential to grow like how Thailand shows now becoming mainstream just like Korean or Chinese shows

At least I can enjoy the feeling in the air, there's nothing to enjoy at a haunted house. Speaking from experience, I don't know why, I went to a haunted house during primary school, in the middle of the day, there was sunlight pouring from above, yet I was still screaming so loudly I lost my voice after. Maybe I'm scaredy-cat.

it was ok.it just frustrated me when i considered their situation and logically thought about it. like girl when…
What I feel kinda different, I don't know if this is right, but I want to believe he still could take care of his kids in his own way. Just like shaun in good doctor, when he prepared matching clothes for his child. I know autism is different but it feels like seeing lu yao grow into better person, especially the cut scenes in the end where he walks with his kid

Uh why? I know she is not famous for acting skills, but she did good in this movie
