Yeah there were, but I liked that drama for various other reasons than those war scenes or violent scenes. When i rewatched that drama I skipped all those bloody scenes. That's y I usually avoid dramas with many people dying or tragic endings no matter how highly rated it is. Like I hated squid game n likewise dramas too that's y didn't even watch it's s2, though it's worldwide most popular drama.

Not even new years new poster or video from this drama wen every tom dick harry not even completed filming dramas r sharing posters n videos!! 😒 Not a good news I will say.

I don't like violent scenes, I never watch action movies, so yeah u can say I m not a fan of dramatic or violent scenes much. I m a fan of slice of life type stories more than wars n political stories.

Exactly, now i feel I should binge rewatch all the episodes in one go, maybe then I will enjoy it more than s1 becos this season sure had more emotional touch, some cases made my eyes watery including the last episode.

Shenyi roaming here n there freely in fang kaiyis lab or even in anyone's house will never not be funny,🤣 really looks like a small kitten roaming around unbothered whenever released in anyone's house to look for things of its interest 🤣

Finally binge watched from ep 21 to 28 n i realised it felt more thrilling n entertaining that way, I guess this type of shows should be watched in one go rather than episodic to enjoy it more. The last episode was so good, I pitied fang kaiyi n the cliffhanger left at the end made it so obvious there would be s3 😄.

Yeah n she is already shooting some other costume drama so that's y I ruled out that drama too. Maybe this one is something he signed long back, can be a movie too but I wish to see him in some good n high budget costume drama😓

OMG same, I dropped all these dramas too for same reason except tteotm, that drama I watched while it was on air only becos of LYX n Bailu pair whom I loved alot in LIS, not when it got hype so I kinda enjoyed it, but wen I thought to re-watch it, I wasn't able to😅 so if I would have watched that drama after it got hype I would have probably dropped it too.

Ofcourse I won't have high expectations frm it becos it isn't even rated high here😅 it's 8.2 means average drama n most of the times those low rating dramas have actually impressed me more than some high rating ones

Woah this month's schedule has only script reading n welcoming new role but evryone is jst unaware yet as to what that new role is even! How come! Anyway it's for sure not that rebirth novel one or the another melon Mo Li for sure. I hope it's some costume drama though. As he has already 3 back to back modern ones rn.

Oh I dropped sokp too but after 1st episode only becos I wasn't feeling invested n though I love bailu, ML is someone who hasn't yet impressed me with his acting, so I wasn't even willing to continue it. I m able to continue this drama becos if not anything else frm the clips I have seen I loved the fl n ml n their chemistry n have seen both of them in other dramas as support roles n liked them.

I m not enjoying guardians of the dafeng, i m watching it as I m in good drama slump rn n not finding any which I can really enjoy in all aspects. I rated it 8 becos I was able to atleast watch it till now n didn't drop it. Becos I have expectations that it may get better, if not i will drop that too.

Thanks for these recommendations. I will try them as I m currently in good drama slump. Except tale of the nine tailed I haven't heard of these dramas, n TONT i didn't like n dropped after few epis😅

OMG 😳 jst chill dude, it wasn't me who brought LLTG here, it were the earlier comments i read here which said so n made me give this drama a try becos that's my fav historical drama jst like maybe this one is urs! So tell those people who compared it here earlier with other dramas n misled people like me into thinking like that n getting disappointed. SMH, speaking one's mind here is considered drama bashing now! 😒

U mean to say the rest of the episodes r downgrade compared to ep1? Becos jst now I watched episode 3 and 4 n felt they were better than ep 1. So I will continue it for now bt I still won't say its the best drama this year becos so far i would say I have yet to see best drama in all terms this year, the most I liked was blossom in adversity bt won't call it best too becos i was disappointed with ML in that. Legend of shenli was also good but not best for me.

Maybe people felt something similar or had nostalgia of those dramas while watching few similar scenarios in this one. Anyway dramas do have same vibes sometimes becos even so many stories have same themes like rebirth revenge, business minded fl, politics etc. only way they r presented n few other changes r done to make every drama different.
Anyway I watched episode 3 and 4 jst now becos of encouragement from one user above, I would say its not bad, but not the best too like the hype claims. So I will continue it till I really get bored. I also don't force myself to like a drama jst becos of hype, u can see all the big names in my dropped list in my profile, becos they jst didn't click with me wen people were raving high abt them.

I wasn't even comparing it with LLTG, u did. I saw some comments saying it had LLTG plus story of minglan plus sokp vibes, I haven't watched the later 2 bt only LLTG, so I took only lltg name. Also I disagree with ur comment abt shaoshang not being clever, lol. She was more clever than dao zhao, it took dou zhao 2nd lifetime to become that clever wen shaoshang was clever since she was 15yrs old in 1st lifetime itself. She never let people bullying her get away n took revenge immediately. So pls do not say things to jst uplift this drama.

Sure will try to watch more episodes to see if it hooks me to it bt by my own I wasn't getting much encouragement to continue so I thought to get it from here.

Idk I saw people say it has LLTG vibes, but LLTG hooked me from 1st episode itself n i didn't see any LLTG vibes in this, also the editing was weird, there is one scene going on then suddenly another scene jumps up, so i felt weird why this drama is getting so much hype wen it's not that good, maybe if I would have watched it wen it didn't have hype I wouldn't have felt like this, becos wen i watch a drama with big ratings n hype I would go into it with certain expectations, like wen I watched the untamed or reset or LLTG after I saw big ratings for them here I wasn't disappointed with the expectations n the ratings. But can't say same abt this.
And no I wasn't skipping scenes, why would I when I jst started this drama, skipping scenes happens wen u r familiar with drama n it's ckts n u want to avoid some ckts scenes wen u don't like them. Only a fool would skip scenes in starting episodes 🙄
