None of them having wood expression, the expression is alive like you can feel the emotion. It is sad but it's convincing. The lead acting really has a dynamic. You can feel the synergy of give & take in their acting.

Also chill, it's still in production. Revealing something that is not finished/finalized yet is not good either as it's like giving fake hope to the people. It's not easy to handle a big project with all the casts+staffs etc, there's process in it not just easy like drinking water dear. Be patience.
How about you consider from another perspective dear? Cheng Yi has an agency, I believe which script he will works, are decided by his agency too. We don't know 100% how is the process behind the screen. Also, why would you say he wasted his talent, it's not just about sad drama. We all can see the wide range of emotions in one drama. It involves deeper understanding of emotions which not all actor can pull that out.

There's possibilities of fan wars to happen no matter how cautious the event. Surely Cheng Yi didn't want the fans to be hurt. We will just do our own things and support each other <3.

Woah she graduated from Central Academy of Drama! The top college in China for acting, arts and stuff. I watched her older movie and her acting is quite good.
