I would recommend you to watch Chinese survival shows as well. They're based on same produce format but their…
Thank you š I honestly didnāt enjoy BP even a quarter as much as I did PT. I skipped a lot of stuff during BP episodes. I enjoyed seeing the contestants do fun activities together or training together and performing. But, I didnāt like how the show was filmed and edited for the most part and I didnāt even like a lot of the criticism from some judges. Also, there were some very talented performers but I feel the show didnāt present a lot of their talents well or fairly.
But after watching PT, I have some faith in these survival type shows as they can really showcase hidden or forgotten talents. I will be checking out these shows you recommended, thank you š¤
I think they purposely did not show JW in the hospital. The lack of these scenes left me feeling even more frustrated…
š«¢ I never thought of that. Woah, that would be an interesting approach. It would be a plausible reason as to why he would keep pushing Eunji onto JW. I thought he just wanted to win brownie points with her, like she promised him something if he helped her - maybe money or a date with a freshman. But, truthfully I donāt know her financial background too well to back up my predictions. But, she seems to have a lot of influence to get him a date.

Yes, I agree with you you brought up some really good points and now it makes me want to rewatch with this added perspective :) esp about Taehyun and the balance metaphor. Good points I hadnāt thought of.
First half of episode 7 really threw me for a loop. But, Iām so glad Ji Hun is well and showing a lot of character development. I saw someone mention that it wouldāve been nice to see a hospital scene with Jae Won at Ji Hyunās side. I agree with that. Couldāve been impactful seeing him caring for Ji Hyun like that.
Taehyun has been an ass and I feel like his progression into a bigger ass is so real. Some ppl are just never happy and want to bring others down. And itās like, you really need to take a step back and realize other people got shit to deal with, man. Thereās no need to be so mean - it quite literally didnāt even help him in the long run.
I wouldnāt say this show is the best and most perfect show to reflect the realities of people struggling with mental health issues, as I believe a lot of different people cope in different ways. But, I do see myself in Jae Won. Feeling like a personal burden on loved ones for my sheer existence has quite literally made me push away a lot of people I really adore. Itās obviously not a good thing to do and I know that but sometimes you donāt act in your best interest. I believe they show that pretty well with Jae Won. And I do want to see them happy together. I just hope they donāt have Ji Hyun still holding out thinking he can heal and save Jae Won. Thatās too much burden on a person and I donāt think itād be a good message. But regardless, I have enjoyed this show A LOT so far and I do believe it has brought a fully different vibe to KBLs that I hope to see more of.
Iām glad I watched this show. I discovered a lot of groups that I now listen to on the regular. This and Boys planet are the first ever K-pop survival shows Iāve ever watched. The concept entirely makes me too sad to watch because everyone works hard but not everyone makes it, you know. But, watching Peaktime was a really good experience. Minus team 23 having to leave, that is truly a shame :(
Besides that, the performances were great and the top 6 each have been doing well consistently. Iām so happy Vanner could win, I was rooting for them since the first ep because I related so much (except for the fact that Iām not talented in dancing and singing as they are lol). I hope to see more seasons of peaktime. Truly a game changer, for me.
These two episodes today gen made me stressed. That was some good directing. Really had my heart beating cuz I was like wtf HAPPPENED??? I really thought it was a dream sequence omfgā¦. I canāt wait for last two episodes. Saw a couple ppl say itās a happy ending. Fingers crossedšš¤
I really like this first episode. Feels pretty real and they convey the characters and emotions well. Like Iām fully stressed alongside Pat, man. These coworkers make me wanna yell. Both the leads are acting well, in my opinion, and Iām excited see whatās next.
Iām really sad 23 had to leave in the way that they did. Itās such a shame since they really had some of the most outstanding performances on the show. Iāll still listen to chamomile and watch their vids because they were great. Iāll also tune in for the finale because there are other groups I want to see succeed esp after the months and months of hard work and training.
Iām not gonna lie, I knew that was gonna be the big reveal but still I was hoping for a different outcome. I really wish Lue was a different person š also the psychic friend? Cāmon now, just⦠cāmon ā ļø
Itās honestly not so bad. Definitely lacking in some character points, I think. I feel like they just did too much for Cherās character. For a simple show like this they shouldāve made a more simple backstory for him as it would be more believable, in my opinion.
They shouldāve made him just a regular gamer guy rather than content creator cuz like he is not making content, my guy. Why even make that a part of his thing? Or maybe they couldāve shown he was passionate about creating content but with the intern position and game competition he had to put his passion aside and we can see him be upset over it or deal with it or something. Because it just felt so random. I understand they made him a creator so that the boss would be interested, but definitely couldāve set it up better, I think. I was hiiiigh key hoping for some good ASMR moments, I thought that was so intriguing as I really like ASMR lol.
Overall tho, this show is straight up good vibes. I skip a lot of it, not gonna lie, but I always end an episode feeling happy so I like it.
I didnāt hear anything about this drama until episode 6 or 7. Itās actually really cute. The cousin was so annoying tho like omg I wanted to smack him. But the main couple is very cute. I didnāt really like the actor and childhood friend romance but I did like the two freshmen romance. Overall, a nice watch.
From the comments I can tell this drama included romance. I dropped it a while back because I could see the romance being heavily implied. I was really enjoying the first 4 episodes but I just know if I continued I wouldāve been skipping relentlessly since I was already starting to skip scenes by ep 4. Such a shame, I was really hoping for just like a comedy fantasy show with no needless romance. More dramas need to just focus on friendships lol. Men and women can be just friends without it developing into something deeper, just an FYI to kdrama script writers.
I came in expecting very little but I gave it a go because taxi driver ended and I wanted something to fill a little bit of the void left behind.
Minus a couple cheesy parts, itās not bad so far. It feels very typical of an action movie but in kdrama format. Some jokes are really funny but the more corny comedy (ex the skunk dream) wasnāt really my thing.
Overall, Iām enjoying the characters and the plot seems interesting enough. Iām looking forward to the next episode š¤ I hope thereās a lot more action sequences - like the pen/bowling alley scene. Love me some good fights. Also, Iām praying so hard that thereās no romance, man. I really liked taxi driver cuz it was mostly about personal trauma, getting revenge, and friendship. I hope this show sticks to action and comedy, nooooooooo romance š
Yo what did i just watch. Someone mentioned it contains a pretty graphic scene but that was tooooo much. Like the child actor was way tooooooo young to be acting something like that. Wtf were all the adults thinking???? Itās so fucking weird. I wonder like what that little girl mustāve felt after that scene. Like did they explain what just happened and what she had to act? I have so many questions like wtfā¦
I can āt even lie,Iāve been up since like 6 am yesterday and itās now 8 am today. I just binge watched like 4 different movies without sleep, so I donāt know if thatās why I was so invested in this movie but it made me cry like three times, I wasnāt expecting that - but again could be due to lack of sleep.
I started this movie thinking it would be like a soft core porn0 and no plot but it was actually pretty compelling with a lot of topics I could relate to. Watching this young man struggle with his identity, watching his fleeting youth pass him by, and then watching him struggle with the hardships life likes to throw really was impactful. I couldnāt help but cry while seeing them struggle and stuff. It was real.
Wow. I think itās worth the watch. I donāt usually like movies like this and I almost never watch these types of artsy films but I had nothing to watch and I couldnāt sleep so I watched it and donāt regret it. It made me sad but it was a nice change of pace from the usual fluff and stuff I typically like.
This was SUCH a step up from the regular KBL. I feel the conflicts were all so realistic and dealt with well. I think the plot felt fresh. The characters were all relatable/likeable, for me. Both the MLs really sold their love for eachother, they acted so well, I am left so impressed by their performance.
I donāt usually like time skips at the end. But this one just served the purpose of showing them as a realistic couple, the most real couple Iāve seen acted in a BL in a long time. Like looking at their behaviour towards eachother was heartwarming rather than like confusing. This drama is also an example that not just NC scenes show love between the leads. Everything this couple did, from simple hand holding to short passionate kisses to locking eyes for a second, demonstrated their love for eachother.
Iām rightfully obsessed with this drama and I think I will forever be. I have already been rewatching episodes while waiting for the new ones to release. The fact that itās over makes me sad so Iāll be rewatching the entirety on a regular basis. Itās definitely an amazing comfort show.
Coming straight from a lacklustre "All the liquors" to episode 5 + 6 of these guys being too adorable for words?…
I legit couldnāt agree more on the Sunny comment of yours. I was so happy with that small interaction. Like she just treated them as normal, because thatās what they are.
I hate how in some BLs youāll have characters fawn over, squeal or go bat-sht crazy over 2 dudes holding hands or bumping shoulders or whatever. And I always feel so weird with those scenes like just let them be. Thereās no need to overreact to such an extent.
Wow. About 8 times out of 10, I usually like a BL drama less and less because I feel they forget the plot or arenāt true to the characters and their natural development. But I am liking this show more and more. I mentioned on another show that intimacy can be shown with more than just a kiss and this show perfectly expresses that. I am LOVING their chemistry, little jokes, skinship, eye contact and everything really. You can see that these 2 characters are in love.
This show is truly a gem and it feels like a breath of fresh air. If you want a light and cute office romance sprinkled with some sweet highschool first love then this show is a must watch. I feel like once itās over, no matter if the ending is fully wrapped up, Iāll want a second season because the 2 leads (the whole cast really) are doing such a fantastic job at making their characters come to life. Iām obsessed,
