Because that's exactly what the director did, he reconstructed the webtoon into a telenovela style of writing…
Here in Brazil as well, I’ve seen people really liking it and praising it a lot. All the comments I’ve seen so far have been positive, and people are eagerly waiting for the next episodes.
In fact, I think the rating isn’t higher mainly because most people watch it on unofficial platforms, and many of them don’t rate the drama on sites like this. But overall, it seems like people are enjoying it.
Apparently, the more negative comments are coming mostly from webtoon fans (and not all of them, since I’ve seen many webtoon fans praising it too—including myself).
Webtoon Content: MANY kiss and cuddles IN BED even!:Must Include ✅:Relationship establishmentMultiple kisses…
Yeah! That conversation is in Episode 1, almost halfway through… I just checked—it’s at 24:28. Take a look! 😉
And speaking of the SML, I’ve been thinking about something… Just like in the webtoon, I think that in the end what he feels for Heewon isn’t romantic love, but friendship. He might be worried about her and doesn’t really know what he’s feeling—he’s confused and thinks he likes her.
It wouldn’t make sense to make him genuinely in love with Heewon and then later have him date Miran. (If that’s the case, I’m curious to see how they’ll handle it.)
What I really didn’t like was the way he talked, as if he wanted her to give up the baby. In all of his lines, it felt like he didn’t want her to keep the baby. As a friend, he never said he would support her no matter what she chose—the opposite of Miran and even Doojoon—so I didn’t find that friendship very trustworthy. 🙂

In the early episodes, Doojoon’s niece mentioned something about “cohabitation” to Heewon, saying she was going to live with her boyfriend, and asked Heewon whether she also had a boyfriend.
I THINK that was a hint toward a possible cohabitation between Doojoon and Heewon in the near future. Because in the drama, I believe the marriage will only happen close to the end, when the baby is almost due (or maybe after).
But since this week we’ll already be entering the first half of the drama, I think things will need to move faster so they don’t skip important details that were shown in the webtoon.

This space has already become quite sensitive, where almost anything posted can easily escalate. Of course, you have the freedom to express your opinion—positive or negative—but have you had the chance to see everything that’s been said about OYS?
There have been many comments criticizing her acting, the character she’s portraying, and even her appearance, especially on this site. Much of this seems to come from frustration with the adaptation changes. Do you think it’s fair to place that frustration on someone who isn’t responsible for those decisions?
My point is simply that when something is already close to overflowing, adding more to it doesn’t really help.
I don’t have anything against you at all; - In fact, your comment was mild compared to a lot of what has been said here. -this is just an invitation to reflect. Criticizing someone’s appearance—whether it’s OYS or anyone else—can easily come across as disrespectful, particularly in a space where the discussion has already gone beyond healthy limits.
I actually liked how they made it clear sml likes fl cuz thats exactly the feeling the webtoon gave, I never understood…
I’m so glad to read this comment! I felt exactly the same way — that the SML had feelings for the FL — when I read the webtoon.
The other day, someone commented on another platform claiming that this didn’t exist in the webtoon, but I’m sure I read it and understood that he did have feelings for her. To me, it only became more evident that he saw her merely as a sister shortly before the main leads’ wedding. That’s why Doojoon was always so defensive whenever it came to Minwok.
After replying to that person on the other platform, I started to doubt myself a bit and wondered: did I read and interpret it wrong?

Saying that you love the actress and then posting something like this on a site where so many people are attacking her is quite contradictory. If you think there have been changes in her appearance, of course that’s your opinion and you are entitled to it, yes — but it’s a bit cruel to speak negatively about someone’s looks when she’s already being so heavily attacked by people who are showing zero empathy.
Honestly, it’s kind of funny seeing people complain nonstop about the changes and still keep watching. If this adaptation had followed the manhwa exactly, I’m sure many of the same people would be saying they should’ve changed things instead of copying everything scene by scene.
It’s okay not to like it, but if you really don’t, just drop the drama and move on. There’s no need to come into fan spaces just to tear down the actors’ work or criticize their looks. They’re not responsible for the changes the “audience” didn’t like.
And let’s be real—the original author approved these changes. Without that, this adaptation might not even exist in the first place.
I’ve not read it so I’ve thought it was fine. I do roll my eyes when characters blame others or blame themselves…
You talking about Doojoon blaming himself for his brother’s death, or his sister-in-law apparently also blaming him, is totally understandable. That was something created in this adaptation that, for some reason, they decided to add to justify the absence of his brother and the fact that he raised his niece (I always wondered where his niece’s mother was in the original story).
On the other hand, the way Heewon’s mother treats her is something that is portrayed in the original story just as it was shown in the drama. In the manhwa, it is more implicit that she blames Heewon for not having had other career opportunities, which explains the reason behind the “hatred” she has toward her daughter.
In the webtoon, there is a female character who has an unhealthy obsession with Doojoon, which turns her into…
In the webtoon, because of Heewon’s refusals to get married without love, DooJoon suggests that they meet at least four times a week to get to know each other better and fall in love. DooJoon prepares for the wedding without telling her that he is doing so, but a situation at the school ends up making them rush into marriage. They get married during the first trimester of the pregnancy, and Heewon already likes him without realizing it. She only becomes aware of her feelings after they have been married for some time.
tell me if any annoying, or evil SML or SFL for leads....then i will decide to watch
In the webtoon, there is a female character who has an unhealthy obsession with Doojoon, which turns her into a stalker. Her father sends her to France to keep her away from Doojoon, making sure she won’t stalk him anymore, but she returns at their wedding and, some time later, tries to kill Heewon.
I don’t know if the drama will address something similar or if they will use his sister-in-law to harm the two of them.
I don’t know what you all think about the bed scene, but I honestly thought CJH was going to devour her. 👀 He looked very determined! 🔥 I think there could have been a bit more detail before and after that scene. Like many others mentioned in the comments here, I also felt that the beginning of the episode seemed very rushed. Of course, a lot is still going to happen, but they could have given more detail to some important scenes.
I also found myself wondering how they’re going to move the story forward with Heewon being a beer developer and now being pregnant.
Now I’m even more curious! 👀
But I liked the first episode and I’m really looking forward to episode 2 😻
Actually, she said that this scene is a “bed scene” and that they filmed “the whole process,” with a long…
Maybe she “exaggerated a bit” to attract more viewers to the first episode (I was expecting something more explicit, but then I reconsidered… the scene was hot enough for the indicated age rating and for the drama’s theme — this isn’t very different from the webtoon);
Or…
Maybe, for her, it really was very intense to film those scenes. Don’t forget that scene shoots are usually repeated countless times. Just imagine repeating kissing scenes over and over until they’re OK?! (I wouldn’t complain — well, Choi Jin Hyuk said he enjoyed it) 🤷🏻♀️
I don't know why it just has kiss scenes in my predict, and the main actress describe a lot on interview, like…

I saw someone saying it’s available on Netflix Japan and Taiwan. Is that true?
When I search from here, I can see “watch Positively Yours on Netflix” and the synopsis on the site, but it’s not available here in Brazil.
Does anyone have more accurate information? I don’t have a VPN to check.
