People who work together, on the same level can. The difference being here is that she works FOR him. There is a grey area wen in comes to certain hierarchy. Ie lawyer/client, doctor/patient or even like therapist/client. He clearly has self esteem issues anyways. So its even worse that he sort of depends on her emotionally. Their relationship isnt wrong exactly. But in real life is questionable.

Seems like theres going to be a confession in the next episode. I hope shes rejects him tbh. It mights sense why he like her; she was the only one who believed/defended him, and supported him emotionally. But she was his lawyer, how can they be TRUE feelings. Also does she actually like the true Do Ra Ik?? He was kinda used for motivation to live on and keep her "happy". Like an idol....She hasnt really grieved and addressed why shes pretty closed off emotionally. They do have chemistry but it wont make sense for them to get together without some distance and time.

It seems like FaifaWine are the series favourite. Started this drama but it wasnt really my cup of tea. Might restart it for this couple. Which episodes is their arc? Also do i need to watch the whole series for them?

The difference is she always apologised. Literally everytime. She is childish ofc. He is a red flag, wen it comes to a romantic relationships. Basically playing with her feelings, with the hot/cold.

ML is basically a red flag. If it wasnt for the romantic music in the background + the nice face ofc, would the FL even be tempted. I would have respected him more, if he forwarded the document for her termination, when he fired her early on. At least then u can claim to be a principled person, but to do it after having a "moment " is soo off putting. They do have good chemistry so im disappointed in the way the ML is being portrayed. My guy says small lil words of kindness here and there and the FL forgives/forgets once again.... girl pls play hard to get just once. I need him to suffer a bit so there can be balance.

The grandmother is undeserving of any forgiveness. To blame a child, for a car accident - THAT HE WAS IN- is seriously messed up. And to carry tht hate/thought for years is crazy. Knowing kdrama writer, im sure she'll be forgiven, but i hope she gravels for multiple scenes.

Side note, the first love thing is very dumb. But im not watching this drama for the excellent writing. The should changed the angle of "rejection/misunderstanding" - maybe made it nore comedic, feel like thts more in line with the vibe of the show. A heartbreak at 15 aint tht deep....

Hmmm the plot is really refreshing but not sure its been executed well. The editing of the first 2 episodes seems off. Even the preview at the end gave wayyy too much away. Also im confused, how did the dad die?? She didnt call the ambulance because of the rumours?? The snake bite thing was random AF. I am going to give it 1 more week.

What a boring and predictable "conflict" to add to this drama. We saw it coming but it still feels very forced. Like the ML just happens to find out who the father was - like after years of looking, now is the moment. Just mehhh. I was have appreciated more development with the daughter and the FL , or even ML career prospects. Just anything else tbh. 3 episode left as well. Lazy lazy writing. Plus the villian aint villianing enough for me.

Yooo, the contrast between CEO/working ji yun and the dating version of her is dramatic and im here for it. I appreciate how proactive she is, she got him all flustered- its cuteee. I was grinning like a fool in ep 8. And the previewwwww for ep 9 cant wait!!

My favorite trope!! Enemies to lovers plus with the caring secretary, yay. Yes the FL isnt likeable, but too often do we have ML tht act like her or even worse tbh. The initial dislike was justified but unprofessional. The ML ex boss needs to have his comeuppance. Angry cuz hes puting his own child first!??!?! How ironic that he works in HR department...

This "i pick on you cuz i like you" thing does not work well with adults in their mid to late thirties. The drama is underwhelming. The chemistry is not chemistrying. Its not a bad show. Its just meh. Their behavior is very off-putting. Like realistically who would act like this after reuniting after 18yrs. I would think it would be more awkward as adults idk. I dont mind childish behavior once in a while, but all the time?!?! A whole teacher and chairman as well.... I want to like this drama but theyre not giving us much.

Firstly, girl, hae jo, what would it take for you to dispose of this car!?!??! Literally switch to any other vehicle. I get stressed anytime she enters that car. Secondly baek so knoooowwww how to wear tht suit!! A simple white shirt works wonders for him. These 4 episodes have been servinggggg. Havent been this invested in a kdrama in a while. The family dynamics are intereting, its seem like baek so is the one tht holds power over the dad. But from the flashback episode, it seem like maybe baek so isnt the biological son. The dad is also overly concerned over hae jo mum, tht tea scene was weird. Im still suspicious over the 2ML, he clearly has an agenda. Now tht he know she can talk, im hoping she can trust him now and they can work together to get this creep.

Great start to the drama, definitely anticipating the next episode. Im glad dramaland have finally adopted 12 episodes drama, cuz 16-20 eps is too much most of the time. Sooo looks like the 2ML is the villians of the story. He had a speech impediment wen he was on the phone, but it gradually went away over time ....interesting. I wonder wat the 2FL will brings to the story, so far she seems meh. I hope they continue the solid "thriller" aspect. Hopefully the romance doesnt overshadowed it too much.

Just realised the iqiyi verson and dramacool verison timing of each episode is different, just by a couple of minutes. Am i missing important moments in the extended version?

I don't get what the writer want us, the audience, to feel about the ML, with regards to the FL. In a general sense, his character is quite sad as he essentially lives for other people, whether its his mum who abandoned him or his "grandmothers". Hes clearly not the best at communicating/ closed off which makes sense for his characters. I was lowkey okay with them getting back together at the end of the drama,until he said he wants her to be ill, so he basically had an excuse to be around her?!?! My guy, u wish sickness on someone thts not normal. Even then i try to give him the benefit of doubt. But to find out now tht shes ACTUALLY sick, ur first thought was she was with another man, how could she right..... Maybe if we saw things more from his perspective, it would be different. But eveything is giving unhealthy codependency. I resent the fact hes going to be the person to fix her. Nothing the audience has been showed deemed him worthy of this. Frankly both the ML and 2ML seem lowkey selfish. It seems like its more about themselves and how they are when there with her rather than about her as a person.

This drama is losing focus. Its called " Dear Hyeri" and only has the Fl face on it. Why are the writer focusing soo much energy on the " romance". Like theres 4 episodes left and the FL is still broken AF. When does the healing start?!?! Now the ML knows, how would tht change anything ?!?
Side note: it realllllllyyy annoys me wen the FL is ranting to the ML on something his done wrong in her eyes, but she doesnt allow him to speak AT ALLL. Literally any convos they had in the present times , shes just talking AT him and he doesnt say anything. Honestly soo frustrating to watch.

Korea is a conservative country. So things like tht can happen i suppose. But its just soo "in ur face" misogyny. Like they're not even subtle with it. The hotel pic was soo dumb as well. They were all staying at tht hotel for work. Isn't it normal practices tht ppl have meeting in a suite or watever idk. I just dont see how this angle is relevant to this story.

Aaa its pains me everytime she goes off about how undeserving /unlovable she is. How does one have a 8 yr relationship and doesnt even know basic info about ones family. I suppose they both dont like talking about it so its never gets bought up?! I feel bad for all the main characters. They all have issues. I honesty cant see how the ML/FL can get together at this point. This drama is only 12 episodes and theres a lot of things to unpack. I just hope they dont rush the ending. Also theres soo much misogyny/ageism just sprinkled in. I get its somewhat realistic but i just find it unnecessary if theyre not going to address it directly.

Shin Hye Sun is such a great actess, all her dramas are great, including this one. 4 episodes in and im obsessed. All the characters have depth/multidimensional. Its more than such the romance. Tbh i dont see her character with any of the male characters. Its giving more of a self- journey kinda drama. The ML aint even tht bad. The only thing tht triggered me was the "you embarass me" bit. And i mean from allllllll the moments, he decided to humiliate her after she was freezing to death with a dead body ..... awesome. Plus they broke up cuz he didnt want to get married so idk how anything would be different if they reconnect. The SML is the better choice is i had to pick. But they seem to share the same trauma so idk how tht would work out. So in conclusion, shes need friends not boyfriend.
