The way the mother is making him choose between his daughter and her....... talk about dysfunction. The family dynamic is definitely not normal and theyre not reacting as normal people would. I dont understand the father intentions, like does he want a relationship with the daughter?? Hes character is soo weird/super flat, we need a background story. I get the first love concept but she just attacks him so why do u like her again??
I just started this drama, and i really enjoying it. Im on episode 7 atm, and wondering if this Xiang liu character is meant to be a viabale romantic option for the FL. He literally abused her in every scene soo far so im confused. Does he get any better? Cuz im very not feeling him.
The "romantic" relationship between the mother and father is happening too fast, it doesnt make sense tbh. It actually annoys me that they kept referring to the father as the mothers "first love". Completely ignoring the fact that he presently an "absent" father, who just came in their lives after 30yrs! I know its technically not his fault, but he doesnt seem to care or acknowledge that he now has a daughter. If anything, hes inital response should have been anger or sadness, not whatever that was. Sir, you have a daughter now, try to focus on that rather than a romatic relationship. And the mother, wow. Just pure self interet. She doesnt even see the damage she is creating around her by not discussing or even thinking about her daughter. The mother and daughter relationship is completely dysfunction. The co- dependency is not healthy. I need a serious conversation to happen asap because at this moment her prioritises is at the wrong place
Soo much happened in 1 episode. This drama would have been more suitable for 16 episodes tbh. Alas still enjoying it. The past life arc is reminding me of Hotel del Luna with IU and lee do hyun. Never read the webtoon, i just hope it wont be a sad ending.
This drama isnt giving wat it should be. So far.... its kinda boring. All the characters are very 1 dimensional. This includes the main leads as well. Nothing is really happening. Even the villain aka tht "sister" isnt villain enough. They keep having the same convo. Even the extra people around the couple like the FL colleagues are just hating for the sake of it. Very poor writing at the moment. Dont get me wrong i like a cliche/trophey story but at least make it fun. So far it isnt giving any com or rom. The only plus side is the chemistry but that could only do soo much if the plot is very mediocre. Hopeful the next couple episodes do better.
Shin Hye Sun always plays interesting characters, which i like. I love a weird/eccentric FL! And the contrast between her character and the "reserved " ML is nice. Solid first 2 episodes. Cant wait for next week
Finally an enjoyable rom com. First episode was great! The only thing im disappointed about is the female sunbae of the FL and friends. The girls be hating for no reason, it seems misogynistic to me. Like girls cant just support other girls. So far all the woman we saw in the first episode, besides the FL and friends, are written poorly. Its a bit too far fetched to me that they are all just rude and have no human decency. Not allowing someone to go Toilet just to assert authority is just juvenile.
Really enjoying this show! It has a nice balance of work/romance. The ML seems to have some feeling for the FL, but clearly not enough or he simply doesnt know what it feels like to have romantic feelings for someone. If he truly liked her enough, would he just straight up reject her and say he has feelings for someone else and then proceed to confess to that said person? The SML would probs push him, cuz right now he is very passive. Tbh, i dont even know if i would like them together. How many times can you miss the chance to be together cuz of " timing" just to realise maybe this perosn isnt for you. Theres only 4 episodes left, at this point im curious to see how this would unfold to something more than friendship 🤔
I am not feeling the direction this drama is taking. This man has ZERO redeemable qualities. The friend gave the worst advice ever! Staying unhappily in a marriage is apparently better than being single ?!?!?!? She literally has no "good reason" to reason to stay. He is possible the worst husband ive ever seen in a drama. Its very clear, he doesnt care for literally nobody else expect himself. I was hoping this drama will be more about Dr cha and her growth. But they're focusing too much enegry into husband/mistress. We've established hes the worst, now what?? They're keep going back and forth like theres something to save here. They are just roomates at most, not even friends . So what is the point of all this. At this rate, they're probs going to get divorced at the last episode 🙄 😒

100% agree! At the point Roy Kims character isnt really doing much to the story. I hope the writer really push the romance angle. In ep 8 she did mention she never had a deep romantic love before ( like the suicidal guy and wife). Im hoping that is the sign to the audience. And if they do show something, i hope its not just insinuated but theyll actually be dating. Girl hasnt really lived, despite being in her late 40. She deserves a considerate man who will love her wholeheartedly.

The jealously doesnt come from affection/love he has for his wife. But more narcissism and possession he feels towards her. He think he has "rights or control" over her because he is the alleged husband. The fact the Roy kim is clearly an attractive and competent doctor and man threatens that pathetic ego of his. Im sure the divorce will happen toward the end of the drama. Where *fingers crossed* he'll have nobody by his side even the mistress.
Cant wait for Dr Cha to get that influx of money aka real estate in the divorce! The audacity of the MIL,l gonna assume that man on her arms is just using her for money. The girlfriend of the son is not exactly likeable but she isnt a bad person. I hope we see a more lovable side to her, expecially towards the son. I wouldn't like her as well if she treated my son like that. Ep 8 better be the episode she finds out about the affair. It time to progress now.
