This drama will always have a special place in my heart. Rewatched for the first time, and it brought back so many memories and emotions from when I first i saw it when it aired. The feelings and that first time experience when this was ongoing are unforgettable.
I can see how it’s not for everyone, but i think if you approach it with an open mind and youthful heart it’s worth a watch. I will add that it’s more so for kdrama beginners as it has many classic kdrama elements but with a unique plot ;)

Just can’t believe it’s been this long since this came out and if i remember correctly this was my introduction to seo kang jun and been a fan of him ever since. Ah gonna miss this couple. It was nice to reminisce and enjoy this for a second time.
Everyone’s kdrama journey is different and unique. For me this is a drama i will always remember and keep close to me. Hope to see skj in the near future :)!

Hello everyone just joining the conversation and sharing some of my thoughts. I came here after contemplating this episode the whole day lol bc wth just happened or is about to happen. A very unorganized opinion but here it goes:

The way this drama has kept me on my toes since it started, but I definitely wasn’t expecting such a major plot twist That I don’t know how or what to think anymore lmao~ what is life 🙃

Is it bc it’s a longer kdrama? It’s been a while since is saw a 50 eps krdrama. Im trying to think of the most insane and crazy plot twist of all kdrama land. Ok maybe not to that extent but one that made me feel like this one lol…lost.

I mostly agree with everyone. The irony of this drama is how they (everyone) is unable to accept the leads (among other things) considering nothing about this kdrama is “normal”. Everything about every character in this drama is unorthodox yet they are unable to reflect and act upon their own values and beliefs based on how they’ve lead their lives.

I will say, I do on one hand understand and accept the initial retaliation of the families bc by no means is it right to lie about such an issue. It’s valid how the family is feeling: betrayed, fooled, lied to. But the underlying issue and their conclusion of breaking them up, is more to it than that.

Ig it comes down to the writing and how closely you want to portray a certain reality.
It’s a difficult and controversial topic to tackle.
If you think about it it’s pretty mundane to live within social standards and want to uphold your life and status. Norms are a part of any culture and going against them is undeniably a socially punishable act.

However from the very beginning i saw this drama as a break from that normality and a way to open a conversation about such a dilemma. While much is fictious and exists in a perfect world, there is part of every story that touches some truth.

How much of this crazy families can we take is the question now lol?

How we see their actions and decisions, everyone might have a different opinion.

Came here bc i recently finished Gen Z and wow this is like a complete 180 turn (in a good way lol). I didn’t know I’d be seeing Lu Si so soon, so had no idea what to expect diving into this first episode. And o.m.g i am at a loss for words. I can see her reputation precedes her. Totally different character and amazingly portrayed so far.
Is it weird that i keep seeing (or expecting to see) her Tou Tou side LOL bc they could not be more opposites haha. I keep thinking she’s going to burst out laughing or screaming like she did in gen z.
But can we say we’re in for a treat with this drama?? Bc in buckled in and ready!

aside from that it doesn't lower how high my expectations are for this pilot episode~ heck the whole season. S1 and S2 are already amazing! Glad to know this project is not only loved by fans but the cast themselves

Sad and disappointing that we have virtually no lawful way of watching this in the US like :/ !?!?!!!!?!?? This show has the potential to be so much bigger worldwide.

Agreed! I just rewatched S2, but S1 is also amazing. I miss the og cast. Brings back so many memories. The leads' kiss scenes are probably one of the most iconic of all time lol. Hoping for some cameos in S3!

I am so ready but at the same time, I'm not lol. I can't believe it's finally here after three years...gonna cry. I binged the second season in two days and now I can hardly wait. I think it's literally the ONLY K-drama I have rewatched and I've been watching K-dramas for quite some time now...that's saying a lot. If anyone hasn't seen S2 I highly recommend it! Anyway, is everyone ready??!
