Idk what it is about this drama that still pulls at my heartstrings for the third time since i first watched it back in 2019/2020. Maybe im too much of an empath but it really hits just as much as the first time.
Sure, itās not the best in some ways but something about the simplicity, authenticity, and even flaws of the story and characters, makes this one so heartfelt for me.
This time around, it made me reflect so much on a personal level about the journey to achieving oneās dreams.
This is coming from someone who was pretty new to cdramas in 2019, knew nothing of yibo and the esports industry or cdrama industry (still donāt know much about them all lol but i digress).
I am the around the same age as yibo and the fl and this third watch was somewhat of an eye opening experience. I gained a deeper insight into this story and inspired feelings i hadnāt felt previously.
Just seeing how much Yibo has grown himself, achieved on personal level and at the same time been through, is as inspiring, and itās amazing to have known him thru his character in this drama. I truly think it was made for him.
All in all, as I watched and soaked in all emotions and adversity that everyone endured and went through, I realized how this story serves as a stepping stone, demonstration and affirmation of realizing whatās important to us in our lives and that sometimes life and time will tell.
I definitely got a bit carried away and ofc this is all my pov so take it with a grain of salt. Lol this turned into more of a personal experience than anything. But for me, its a worth a watch if you donāt take it too objectively and just focus on the positives, the overall story, and the message.
psychopath female leadā¦what are we about to get intoā¦? like wdym lol šš³š«£haha well not sure if this one will be my cup of tea but im so excited about this reunion š uncontrollably fond was among my first kdramas š„¹
i gotta say this drama is just hitting in all the right places šor maybe itās just my cup of tea lol but itās soo good! Thereās some classic tropes but with a unique spin that simply keeps you hooked.
Didnāt watch this when it came out in Jan and randomly decided to give it a try⦠omgg so good and weāre getting a 2nd season!? I think there hasnāt been a cdrama Iāve really enjoyed get a 2nd season, this was a pleasant surprise! so excited, now I just gotta finish S1 lol
ikr. i shared the same sentiment with you. Itās good but in the most subtle way possible. i took time savouring…
right! like itās nothing too extraordinary but thatās precisely what makes it so good, itās simple yet compellingā¦? (i canāt even find the right words to describe the feeling of this drama)
but i am living for their mundane moments and the development of their relationship. With each trial they face their feelings get stronger and they grow closer, trusting each other, loving it!
"She confessed her feelings repeatedly, yet his reaction remained muted. Is this a fumble on his part? The narrative…
Wow tyy (for this)! Love your perspective and wholeheartedly agree. As someone who is (also) much like him, maybe even overly cautious, I can empathize with the feeling of being misunderstood and labeled without knowing the thought process and complexity of [our] character. Maybe I digress, but there are so many layers to a person like Dowon. I am happy to see that there are people who see beyond his walls, who understand and appreciate him, and that someone like Oh Yi Young is there for him.
Itās times like this that I think itās incredible how much I can see myself in a character. Letās see how their relationship will progress š„¹ā¦
i thought i was doing a good job keeping up with their plan and schemes lol but im about half way thru ep23 and im confused on why fu yun xi is so angry at her? to the point of acting like that (strangling and threatening to kill her)
she said he finally got a taste of being deceived by someone [he] trust but i thought they were both on the same page on everything (guess not š) so how or in what way did she deceive him exactly?
it seems to me like she is really gambling with her and his familyās life⦠but if anyone can help šššāāļø
Didnāt expect this to be so good šthere werenāt any dull moments (for me) and kept me wanting to watch everyday. Itās not your most impressive or top tier drama but the beauty lies in itās message.
What a beautiful and genuine way to express the importance of learning to love and accept ourselves for who we are no matter what we look like. Something thatās easier said than done but i loved to see cheng chengās journey and process of learning to tackle this. It sounded and seemed pretty absurd at first but as the story kept unfolding you can see the true meaning of the filter and the role of tang qi in her life.
The beginning started with many misunderstandings and certain situations really hit home especially for women (and the workplace) but as I mentioned every episode was meaningful and was a step closer towards cheng cheng realizing he worth and value in herself and for the people who love her.
I think itās a beautiful message and something we can relate and reflect about in our own lives. Not to mention the comedy in this was like a cherry on top,so good. The main actors and even the supporting characters nailed this. hope everyone can give it a try š

idk what it is⦠itās so good but in the most subtle way possible. That probably doesnāt make sense lol but im just hooked

their lack communication is what made much of this appear so twisted but i think the reality was far from it
