The last two episodes were a little painful for our ML. I hope it turns around tomorrow.

That's a good point he only knows the bad things about CWD and probably thinks he's hurting both women.

I still like him as a character but honestly, I don't think he would have married Mo Xi even under different circumstances. He just doesn't seem like the type to disobey his parents which makes him and BFY more compatible. Of all her suitors I think CWD is the only one who would actually put a ring on it.

I wish the writers had allowed Mo Xi to see her sister after the suicide attempt, even if that's not in the book. I know she's ashamed because of what she did at the wedding, but still....

I'm enjoying the series and glad I didn't drop it. I think part of its appeal is the great discussions on this board. People have different opinions; however, the discussions are respectful and thoughtful.

I like that as well. I mean, he even let go of his prisoners because she asked him too. He will treasure her more than any of the others and that's for sure. I also agree about the sidekicks.

Right! From day one she said to his face what everyone else was saying behind his back with no fear. He loves her for it. Also, from day one he has helped her and given her whatever she asked for. He even released his prisoners because she agreed to marry him.

It took me off guard and I found myself laughing. So, it turns out he wasn't ready to let Mo Xi go and that whole, "move on and forget me; I will find a good husband for you" thing was a bunch of B.S. He was so enraged he forgot about the war for a hot minute and just wanted to kill CWD.

Right! I was surprised because he seems to always keep his cool.

These last two episodes demonstrated exactly what I've been saying would happen if BFY knew the truth. I like her, but she is very delicate to the point of frustrating. I hope she becomes stronger soon. Also, WOW I did not expect WJG to lose it like that. I mean, I know he loves Mo Xi, but she would have eventually married someone else. He was angry when he heard about CW marrying his wife, but furious when he heard about Mo Xi. Meanwhile, Mo Xi is out there making lemons out of lemonade (yes, I love cliches 😂😂). It's obvious she likes the general, although she isn't willing to admit it yet.

I think he's said to her more than once I'm not a traitor, but he doesn't explain. I wonder how long it will take for him to clear his name like we all seem to want?

Yes, Mo Xi has a lot of fans LOL. Yes, WJG and CWD are on the same side but only CWD knows it. WY's dad set CWD up and made him look like a rebel. Meanwhile, CWD is aggressively doing everything he can to protect the court, including protecting the mines all of the true rebels want.

Even a soldier would have got out of the cold if that meant he could survive to fight another day.

Right! Despite her background she is someone men admire and desire.
