So far, I'm a fan of Mo Xi especially since she is the underdog of the story. I have a feeling even though this is a good series I won't finish it because I'm just not in the mood for a tearjerker right now. I'll have to put it on hold. Still, I'll will probably watch it for at least a few more episodes because it's very well written.

Agreed. I want to believe it will be fairly lighthearted, but so many dramas start out that way only to have a "red wedding" level of trauma midway lol. I have a feeling this one will lose the comedy aspect soon, after all comedy is not listed in the description at all.

When the demon prince sold his smile for a couple of things in shop, one of them was the formula that spreads like poison the deeper you fall in love with someone. When he fought with the ML he poisoned him with it. The only cure for it was for the one you love to take it and that can only be done once. The FL took the poison from him knowing that she will die as a result.

I don't like it when they turn the series into episode of episode of just suffering for the lead. Must it be a Romeo and Juillet situation? Now the phoenix is a cursed one that must die? If the FL spends ten more episodes going from torture to torture I'm not sure I can finish the series, though I've enjoyed it so far.

Episodes 9 and 10 are my favorites so far. The pace and action picked up.
If it wasn't for Wei Zhi, Ling Yue the fake phoenix wouldn't have passed the trails yet at the end everyone assumed she was the phoenix. Now, they all know the truth and all her bullies will probably suck up to her. Oh, and when the demon prince turned the 4th sister into an old woman that was hilarious!
