Yeah, I saw. That's why the first thing I did was block the ones causing trouble. Fighting with them only makes the comment section really unpleasant to read.

I was thinking of starting this drama while it's airing, so I came here just to read some comments but I found the thing I hate the most about MDL, people fighting with trolls. I guess I'm going to start watching in a couple of days when hopefully everybody would be talking about the show instead of the haters 😅

Great acting and great chemistry. You'd think it would be the basic requirement for a romcom but it's actually very rare 😅 Being short has a positive and negative side, no time to drag the story but also no time for too many fluffy scenes 😔

Yes! There were multiple occasions where Takashi looks hurt after Akihiro question his feelings towards him. Also, he confronted both the assistant and Sugimoto after they bothered Akihiro. I really don't understand how people put all the blame on him.

I think his only fault is not sharing his situation with his family with Akihiro. But we know he didn't because he wants to protect him from his controlling (and probably homophobic) mother.

Right! But also we don't really see him using that charm with anybody else. And when he wants Akihiro to know he's being honest the smile is replaced by a serious look, his eyes tells everything we need to know. That's why I think Robin is a great actor.

Agree with everything you said. I wish they had more time to show us Iwanaga's POV during high school. I think he didn't have a easy childhood, since he was under the pressure to become the heir of the family and knowing that they wouldn't accept his sexuality. Also, I think his friendship with Sugimoto was a bad influence. That guy probably drove off anybody who Iwanaga had an interest in 😒

I'm confused about some comments talking about Takashi's playboy image. So I watched again from the beginning, thinking I missed something.
We only saw him flirt with Akihiro and we met only ONE ex. Sugimoto is basically a relative and I bet he was the one spreading the rumors about him running away with Akihiro, apart from telling him about the bet. He said he wants only the best for Takashi but he looks like he's just trying to erase Akihiro from his life again, like he did in high school.
Also, Takashi has always been upfront about his feelings but Akihiro has always treated them as insincere or temporary, just because of what happened 15 years before. Even in high school, Takashi said he bet against Akihiro running away with him only because he didn't want to get hurt. He waited for hours at the train station, he had a bag with him, he really was ready to take the train with him. They never told us why he wanted to escape, but I guess the adoption thing didn't come out of nowhere. The family must have been a toxic one from the start. I really need Takashi POV from that time, I want to see how that bet came about.
This re-watch just confirm to me that they need to talk about the past in details, because that is what it's holding them back from being together.

Third, I just love how Akihiro react to the rivals provocation. I'm at the edge of my seat every time, waiting for him to put them in their place

I understand his reaction when he was a kid. Now it's time for them to sit down and talk about the past, the present and the future so there's no room for misunderstanding. They love each other so much, we need to see them being actually together 😭

It's funny how we have two completely different opinions 😂 it shows how our experiences in life shape our POV, that's why there are no right or wrong in how we rate a show.

Oh man, I could write a thesis on their relationship 😂 If you want to read more about my point of you there are multiple threads on reddit with analysis. I spent hours there after I watch a show I really like because the platform gives more space for this kind of discussions. MDL is not enough
