Liang Dai Wen's reasoning behind telling Gu Yi that he is not yet ready for their relationship only reinforces his negative feelings, believing that he is not food enough for her and that he can only bring her pain. She wants him to stop thinking in this way where he undervalues himself, and wants him to simply let go of the blame he keeps putting on himself due to past relationships. She had made it her goal to make him stop these thoughts of his, and worked hard to cure him, so him telling her this is like putting all her past efforts in vain, and left her feeling disappointed since she had genuinely believed he was getting better, It is also condescending for her to hear these words for him, because throughout the entire series up until that point, Gu Yi has sincerely given him her heart many times. But despite this, his words confirm that he is still blind to all the effort and love she has shown him, continuing to insist that he is not worthy of her love and that he cannot hold a happy place in her heart without tearing her apart.

So far, the set design is so pretty, the cinemtography is stunning, the soundtrack is fitting to the show's vibes, and the acting is amazing. All these factors contribute to making 'Smile Code' a very immersif watch. I very much look forward to seeing what more the next episodes will bring!
