Once again, Truck-kun proves it has the best agent in the business... Booking rates are insane.
I started to giggle when they stopped at a flower shop near the road, and I was in full-blown laughter when the taxi stopped across the road... The most popular actor in Korea, for sure...
The "zero chemistry" comments are starting to be predictable... this or I am watching a premium version of the…
I also don't understand "Zero chemistry" comments and likes, but we have people from around the world here, so I guess some people just perceive surroundings a bit differently.
I'm on the second episode, and I really miss some gentle background tunes in slow-paced, non-thrilling scenes like they had in "Moving." It helped with the flow and was very comforting.
You know... you are just sitting there, minding your business, not bothering anyone, enjoying the show, doing some mental gymnastics by connecting storylines, and BAM! Argan's plotline nuking you from orbit!
Just 15'ish minutes in the last episode... just...why? Justifications to go there are stupidly weak, considering what leads have already been through and talked through... lmao...
Dear screenwriters, when you set to adapt someone's work it is a great chance to connect with the original author and try different approaches with original controversial plotlines. I think all parties could benefit from that... Filmmakers potentially fix what didn't work for a better end product and the original author could use newfound interest in their work and release/reprint an updated version for some extra cash xD
how is the Joy of Life? i tried to watch it but I fall asleep on episode 2. Is it worth to watch?by the way I…
It has some cheesy moments, but I feel like they are kinda part of the Wuxia genre. If you enjoyed "GotD" and "TBoY", you should be able to enjoy "Joy of Life". You can find many similarities between these dramas in characters, motivations, etc. Also, "JoL" was a very unique experience for me, it gets you immersed in Southern Qin and their heroes so much... so when writers touch on plotlines involving the "real world" it kinda ruins your immersion, lol... Because it is so entertaining to watch it without it, you wanna go back immediately xD And there are some unfortunate recasts for some characters for S2, which can't go unnoticed. But overall it was a genuine pleasure to watch despite some hiccups, so yeah I'd say it is worth it.
Jol is an exception the Gap is due to COVID. For Gotd we need atleast 2-3 years.. the fastest that a c drama got…
So... 2-3 years, I was worried this is a kinda normal gap for Cdramas... I will lose my mind waiting... Despite slapstick humor at the beginning, time jumps, silly chin armor, and rushed story progression in later episodes, I really enjoyed this one. You know, a hero's journey story for justice and the people. With very likable characters, very easy to form an attachment to them. And Xu Ling Yin (little girl) is super-duper adorable.
I hoped they manage to release Joy of Life S3 and The Blood of Youth S2 in between, but now looking through the main lead's filmography: - Zhang Ruo Yun (Joy of Life): 5 Dramas - TBA and one of them has a whooping 70 episodes... I feel like, the gap for JoL S3 might be a huge one once again. - Li Hong Yi (The Blood of Youth): Freaking 8 Dramas - TBA and one of them is the same one with 70 episodes, lol.
I hope the Chinese market manages to produce some new wholesome and joyful Wuxia/Historical dramas while we wait... impatiently.
holy 5.7 what is going on, can anyone tell me what they think the actual rating would be
It was 8.5 when I started the episode. It has a promising start, I feel like it will remain 8+ by the end of the run. It is light fun and judging by the 2ep teaser it promises to be chaotic (in a good way) fun.
