My pov on your last point is that for a person like WYF, distance and time does help one especially help clearing their mind at least and process certain things and situations Dont people sometimes take a walk outside just to clear their minds? In a way this is what I mean but I know for me that if I was facing a wall that I didn’t know how to break and spiralled , what I need is time to figure myself out and the situation and properly process it At least we know that WYF didn’t plan to stay long and actually come back

What I love about this is how it’s able to shed more light on SA But also how we get to see how a character like WYF struggling with her trauma especially because she chose to lock away that memory and forgetting instead of moving on and choosing to take a step towards a journey of her healing and facing her pain
Her going to HK let us see that she herself was overwhelmed in a way that all those years of her choosing to not face her trauma led to that consequence of her running away bc that’s what she knows best in that situation cause since that day all WYF has been thinking and doing is surviving and making sure she doesn’t see her family anymore and live a quiet life, I mean nobody did ever bother to ask her how was she? How was she dealing with this situation? So of course she doesn’t know how to express herself and kept it hidden and think it’s shameful and a hideous part of herself
It has been shown how people around her even the police barely did anything to help her case when she was SA, yes the justice system can help but let’s not forget how this system is as flawed as any human being would be and has failed many real life victims as well (also she needs evidence btw) A lot of people have said as well “why doesnt she seek medical help” but they also forget that opening up about something like this is not easy as if you were sharing what happened during your day For a character like WYF who has been treated like extra load and a burden to the adults she lived with it’s not easy to say it especially if the same adults told her to hide this and tell her that this SA never happened, I mean how would you feel if you were treated like that? If it were me I would hide it

WYF has shown that she regrets everything so badly WYF never planned to honestly get into a relationship with SY let’s be honest, they simply reconnected by coincidence but it didn’t mean she had the intention to pursue him if anything she was trying to avoid him lol and WYF was just living her life until by some fate they ended up as roommates once again then romance
It has been shown that SY and Qiao Qiao are frustrated with what she did especially SY being hurt a lot since this time they are in a relationship vs back then he was rejected more or less. But they chose to TRY to understand her and give her space since both knew a little bit of the struggles she went through. SY himself has expressed to her how his world came to crumble when she did that and how devastated and learning what life she lived that she kept hidden from him and it seems in ep 28 he expresses more about his own feelings to her as well
Since the beginning I think SY never had the hopes that one day WYF would reciprocate his feelings, he probably stayed only to make sure she was fine and lived a happy life at least so he could leave within 3 months without much worry until he saw a glimpse of hope and decide to try to pursue her once again. In his way his love is selfless cause he doesn’t expect WYF to give back the money she owes him or the furniture he picked for her and expecting she picks furniture for him or cooking a meal. In the end I admire him and his patience because I can’t imagine how hurt he must have been this time when she left him Despite him searching for her like a maniac

I’m tired of seeing people belittling and play down WYF trauma and pain as a survivor (I haven’t watched the latest episode yet which is 26-7)
I understand how a lot of people expressed their disappointment on how the drama took a different turn or how she chose to run away but I can understand why they decided to take that turn vs where she is supposed to chase after SY in yihe (if this info is wrong do correct me cause I only took what I saw from spoilers) and the point of people saying how she promised to treat SY better or report the uncle to the police and how it’s a character regression
What I don’t understand is people dismissing what she is going through WYF THREATENED him with calling the police and threatening doesnt always mean the person is gonna do it and sometimes threats are bluffs as well and I could tell that she hoped that those threats would be the end of it and this could be laid to rest but it didn’t
Also what a lot of people are forgetting is that reporting to the police or pursue legal action she needs EVIDENCE to prove that he indeed SA her and who’s to say he can’t lie his way out of this like he did years ago? Use his fishy connections and somehow get back at yifan
He’s a penniless man what is there to be afraid of? Once again dismissing her trauma You don’t know just how much a perpetrator holds over their victim and saying how mental health should heal easily dismissing the impact it has on a victim mental health It’s clear to me how WYF scar hasn’t healed at all she simply chose to lock it away and forget it and now the person who did this to her reappeared, she’s scared that she’s gonna bleed over her loved ones, she is scared of being the reason that they get hurt and how the uncle hurt SY bar reputation proved that to her, that’s why she chose to leave not because she doesn’t trust them but she’s scared that she will be the reason her close ones would be hurt

But it’s not that easy, you are saying that as if his love for her was nothing but light. How would you like to be responded with when you had a crush or one sided love to someone for 5+ years let’s say, not exactly a good response is it? Treating the situation as if it was a light matter Basically, it’s not easy to forget a love of 8 years

The fact her aunt knew of her brother behavior towards yifan and still acts like she’s the ungrateful one How her mom still chooses to believe everyone else’s word than her own daughter How she said yifan running away was “Normal” and that is just a tantrum just proves to me once again how she hasn’t changed despite on wanting to “reconnect” with her Cause the woman doesn’t even bother defending her own daughter in front of her aunt and chose to be a peacemaker instead Plus putting her step daughter in danger letting her live with that dude Plus her acting so offended when yifan confronted her and said how bad of mom she was like use the excuse of “I sacrificed so much for you” doesnt change the fact you abandoned her and only remember her once and a while How easily she believe that bastard word about sangyan being a “bad guy” LIKE HOW?!? you keep saying how you want to make up for the past mistakes and show zero change If I could I would slap them and fight them
