Basically in HL our main leads are sang zhi and duan jiaxu and we have a secondary character which is sang zhi older bro called sang yan who is also bff with duanjiaxu In first frost our main protagonist is wen yifan who also has a connection to sang yan (friends also crush) and sang yan is the main lead in first frost So first frost just tells the love story of sang yan and causally we will see sang zhi appear in first frost alongside duanjiaxu in first frost as well

Yeah their love story is a slow burn so if you don’t really know what happens next it will surely be very impatient for people who are not much fan of slow burns or wanting to wait for the next episode

I gotta admit the young couple did steal the show for me but I found the older main leads quite cute and their own charm as well Tho I wish they could’ve done a little bit better with the younger version casting cause they don’t really resemble A LOT of the main leads but overall it was a fun drama
It was all good until the last episode cause they lost me at the whole argan plot and apparently after reading some comments in the novel it’s written better the whole soldier war part but honestly no surprise with South Koreans and their propaganda and always trying to make them look like a savior and poc as the more poor and need saving type also somehow I read that it was the director that included the whole war part about 🍉 and it wasn’t even in the novel which is rather quite insensitive ngl I liked the drama except the last episode
