Plus VM did a great job as well at portraying the more goofy brotherly sang yan from sang zhi pov They don’t realize that it’s also different productions so different considerations for the characters Also whether or not VM himself wanted to return for the role plus sang yan is seen from wen yifan pov in FF vs sang zhi pov in HL
It also seems like these are the same people who have not read the original source material and are new comers to Chinese dramas as well I will never understand the negativity for such recasting in these dramas instead of just praising these actors for their acting or see the story
Also they have A VERY MUCH FREE WILL to not interact with any sort of content of FF but choose to do so and forget that they can easily just not watch the drama and ignore FF content on their algorithm

I gotta admit the young couple did steal the show for me but I found the older main leads quite cute and their own charm as well Tho I wish they could’ve done a little bit better with the younger version casting cause they don’t really resemble A LOT of the main leads but overall it was a fun drama
It was all good until the last episode cause they lost me at the whole argan plot and apparently after reading some comments in the novel it’s written better the whole soldier war part but honestly no surprise with South Koreans and their propaganda and always trying to make them look like a savior and poc as the more poor and need saving type also somehow I read that it was the director that included the whole war part about 🍉 and it wasn’t even in the novel which is rather quite insensitive ngl I liked the drama except the last episode

I’ve been seeing a lot of people expressing their distaste towards how the brothers abandoned her and left with barely any contact in 10 years obviously hasn’t watched the original version but also they make it seem how this is abnormal and irregular?
To me this is normal at least cause you can’t obviously expect everyone to stay in contact for so long plus a factor they tend to overlook is that when they left, they were 18-19 years old so basically young adults I think and they were young so they had a life ahead of them so I think it was just natural that they got busy and just lost touch
Also those people who said on tiktok “like mother like son” or however the saying goes That was just foul okay, also unlike their moms they at least had a reasonable reason why they didn’t stay in contact
Either way I’m very interested to see how the later part of the story is gonna go with them as adults and the MAJOR disappointed comments I’m gonna see when the drama ends or how when the main couple gets together Oh they are gonna be sooooooooooooooooooooo disappointed haha
I find it interesting the mirroring we see within this episode between jeongyeon and youngseo and kang so bok and jeongyeon mother Especially the scene where youngseo confronts JY in the mountain and when kang bo sok told jeongyeon mother to stop straining her voice
