Can someone please tell me it gets better? I just finished episode one, and honestly, it didn’t draw me in at…
I'm trying so hard to get through episode 2 and keep stopping because it's just so boring and drags on. but I'm trying to go back to it and continuing on seeing all the praise. maybe it picks up later.
Anyone else dropped this? Everyone seems to praise it, but for me the plot feels dull and the humor just isn’t…
I'm forcing myself to watch through it. it's been taking a while with 10 or 30 minutes of watching here and there. sometimes an entire episode every few days or so. I'm almost done. on episode 18. it's dragged out way too much and most of it is boring. they spent almost an entire few episodes just looking for a ledger and other filler like stuff like cooking earlier on. the first half was decent and near the end the plot is starting to ramp up a bit. but it's still mostly boring. it could've been 12 episodes instead of 20. I'll probably give it a 7.5/10 when I'm done unless the end does something amazing .
This is one instance where I agree with those who say JCW did have better chemistry with the FL's mom. 😅 That's…
ah, okay. I get what you mean. yes, it does seem like step mom wanted him in that way and how he was certainly using her as a means to get revenge and then to protect Anna. In the beginning, they did want to kill each other at first, so there certainly was some sort of tension, and if it was an American show, I bet they would have them sleep with one another one time due to this tension but still have ML fall in love with FL after. their romance was certainly cute and sweet and she was more child-like because of being sheltered and due to how her life was like. although I don't know about her just being thrown in there, since the entire story revolved around her with how everyone else connected around her. but step mom FL is kind of central too. it's almost like one is an angel and one is the devil, which is why they must be referring to Anna as an angel of Barcelona and how almost evil-like they made the step mom.
it's a pretty good show though depending on how you might view it. i think some had a few things to nitpick on it but it's still good despite some of these.

really? I don't see any chemistry like that at all between him and step mom. maybe one-sided attraction of her lusting over him because her husband is a cheating PoS. the chemistry with him and Anna was on point though as he went out of his way to do anything for her and then their physical and romantic moments were intimate and cute. he was only using the step mom to protect Anna and for his revenge, nothing more and no attraction from his point. unless you're an older woman and inserting yourself in her role because you like ML, otherwise there's nothing there like that.
Tried to watch it few times but couldn't past the first episode due to anna character, does it get better?
I don't know why anyone will drop after just one episode only because of a character without really knowing them at all in 1 episode. She gets a whole lot of character development throughout the series. Unless you're saying this because you personally don't like the actress who plays her? i find her cute after the two of them meet again later on.
I just finished this one a few minutes ago and I absolutely love it. I'm not sure why it doesn't have a higher score? Maybe most people on this site prefer romcoms than action and political dramas? Maybe because it's older? Either way, I enjoyed it. it has an amazing soundtrack and a little bit of romcom, but at its core it's action and thrilling, which i love the most, and fighting over politics and both sides taking over as the next President. I won't spoil how it ends but it's a good ride and worth checking out.
This is pretty campy like a lot of the old 80s and some 90s style of movies back then. I think that's what they're going for. Even though they took some of reply 1988 cast and stuck with the 4 male and 1 female friends formula, it looks like they went with a different approach. It was fun but nothing too great. It seems more based on nostalgia when movies used to be this type of silliness to it in a way with just some plot thrown in.
I thought the same when watching it too how similar they seem to be but for modern audiences. They even refer…
I actually just watched Goblin recently this year for the first time. I've only been watching a lot of Kdramas the past 3 or so years. Finished watching Goblin a few months ago in January. So it's still current in my mind which is why I can still see all the similarities. The story about their tragic past life also reminded me of My 19th life, which I only finish watching 2 or 3 weeks ago.
I thought the same when watching it too how similar they seem to be but for modern audiences. They even refer to demons as guardians just like they did with Goblins.
I thought this was a comforting female centered drama (friends, studies, love, comedy and a bit of drama) but…
it was only really the first episode where they were rude and seemed to hate each other, and that's simply due to misunderstanding and having different personalities which can clash. A lot of it is clashing personalities but you can see over time the female friendship between the 5 become closer and it's heartwarming and real. If you don't see this between female friends and always happy and sunshine, then those are just fake friends.
This show is funny. Not only for those cringey and goofy moments, but there's so many serious and dark moments leaving with a cliff hanger at the end of the episodes, then it goes to the happy and silly opening theme song to end off the episode.
I think they want to pretend like it's a Netflix show/made by them and people tend to watch shows newly released…
It's Netflix. It shouldn't come as a surprise when they do all these shady things. Like when they slap on Netflix originals on some shows that are outsourced by other studios.

It's worth the 2 hour watch time if you want some thrills and something interesting set in Japan.
Pretty good show, regardless
