It's a shame this has such a low score on douban. I agree the middle part felt kind of flat (mainly because you kind of anticipate what's going to happen) and the episodes of prince Annan's return could've been way more because it was the most exciting part imo but even so this was a great watch! Entirely made me a Cheng Lei fan, and Song yi is a beautiful actress.

About to start this for my man Cheng Lei. I quite like the main actors too so I'm hyped.

I’ve recently become a fan and OMG he’s already handsome but he’s like drop dead gorgeous in historical dramas. Long, brushed back hair is by far is best look. Also splendid acting skills.

honestly the story was a bit rocky at times, butt the main couple devoured !! Awesome chemistry and great intimate scenes

I've admittedly always struggled to finish historical c-dramas, no matter how good they are, so I'm happy to reveal I never even thought to drop this and finished it one go. it was a really nice watch, and the development of their relationship is the highlight (the story itself wasn't spectacular). The main actress was a great surprise to me because she's so good! Had me tear up with how well she acted out her sadness. Lastly, their love scenes take a long time to come but it's absolutely worth it, the main couple probably has had the best kisses I have seen in historical c-dramas.

Still can't forget this drama. the yearning was so freaking good. I guess it's time to rewatch.

I still can't find a c-drama romance I've liked as much as this one. I hope it gets on western netflix so I can watch it again.

The main osts are so good, but I am still obssessed with instrumental ones, especially "hugs in the snow"

this drama is possibly the saddest case of wasted potentiel I've ever seen. The beginning was just AMAZING, but it all went south when they focused on the romance, which was badly written. Just imagine if they kept the quality and hype of the intrigue all the way through? Focusing on his incredible surgeon skills and suspense/political intrigue with a pinch of romance on the side? It would've been one of the best dramas ever.

As for the ending I still see it as a better end than the reality of some families who suffered and still suffer from the uprising. At least here, he got to find her body (bones) back and a message to get closure :')

I honestly started this drama from a spoiler I saw on youtube so I already knew the ending, but it still was very good. Their chemestry was awesome, and I was agreeably surprised by Go minsi's acting more than LDY's. Great soundtrack too.

So good!! This will make you laugh out loud and cry. I rarely find my self wanting to have a life partner watching dramas but this made me want that. I think I especially related to this because my family's situation was very similar but we didn’t have our happy ending, this drama soothed that part of me 🥹 (that ending is seriously the BEST ending I've seen in a long while) superb acting from the cast especially lee Dohyun who embodies the character. Honestly the premise doesn’t make sense and sometimes you'll be bothered by how naturally some charcaters accept him changing body, but it's not an aspect of the drama you should focus on if you want to enjoy it; this show is about second chances, realizing things many people pass by without help, and appreciating the things you have.
