Not many actors make me want to go through their whole filmography but LJW is so charming! Great acting skills too.

It's one of those dramas you don't watch to get entertained at all times, but more of a relatable show you put on tv while multi-tasking (for me). It's so refreshing to see power plays dominated by women in a corporate environment. I definitely had a great time watching this, until I was a bit bored during later episodes.I fast-forwarded the main couple's romance then came to enjoy it again. I have no problem with their love story being realistic, on the contrary, but the delivery of their convos was too flat for my liking and I already knew whatever problem they'd encounter in an ep which made it even more boring (the 2 other couples were nice though). Watch it for the 3 women, their chemistry (sismance here was popopping and more) and ambitions! It's a good portrayal of modern women leaders without making them seem unrealistically invincible; they all have vulnerable and soft sides, go through hard times but they get back up to get stuff done, and with class.

Title Alchemy of Souls Spoiler
- I'm at the episode 11 right now and I can say the remaining episodes would have to be absolute shit for me not…
I watched the whole first season and I can say I liked it a lot! Although I had the feeling it could've been better written after ep 15 or so because quite a few parts felt like fillers wasted on expanding things the viewers already digested. Some moments the show was building up to kinda fell flat too (like the arrival of Jang Uk's father). The antagonists don't have a poignant cause irrelevant to evil or good, neither presence nor charisma so you don't feel particularly tense and just want to skip their parts (Like Jin mu wants...power? Why? what for? Because he had a poor past and now want to rule over everyone with great power. Wow, amazing. Let's be for real the main antagonist should've been the shaman/queen but her potential was wasted.) I also wish there were a lot more focus on Buyeon and Naksu's objectives and relationship but I hope I'll see that in part 2.

- ok I'm at the ep 15 and one of my cons is that Jang Uk's power development felt too easy and simple to be satisfying; of course I know he's supposed to be the chosen one/a genius but still, luck and destiny can only go so far in fleshing out great "weak to strong" stories.

Liked the novel and the anime, the drama was good too (who doesn't like a charismatic op gamer on the loose?) But since I already knew some character's story, when it came to the team development arc I found it boring and fast-forwarded to the more exciting arcs. I think people who never read the source material may like even that part though.

Tbh he doesn’t have many antis, it’s just paid people throwing shade on him. Chinese industry doesn’t let…
Really? From what I've seen he already got hated because of his family background but since the scandal it's become worse, visiting his tags in weibo and other places made me a bit sick tbh. But yeah that's not gonna deter his career, he really loves the field it's apparent and he got that star factor.

Review Lighter & Princess Spoiler
Despite loving this drama a lot, I agree with many points you've made! Especially the way Gao became so obsessed and how Zhuyun couldn’t talk for the life of her to her mother beyond a few rebellious words. EXPLAIN in details what happened and what the dude's been through jesus. And it felt ooc of Lixun to give the company to Gao without any backup plans in case it goes south indeed. For the brawn over brain revenge, I actually got that he wasn't sane and wanted emotionally satisfying rather than effectively satisfying, but it bugged me he did all that in public and not all hooded in a dark alleyway lmao. It would've been less stupid and there could have ways to bring it to light in another way so the prison plot could get started.
Anyway it's definitely the "not absolutely perfect and coherent but addictive" type of drama. If the great chemistry between the leads doesn't struck you, you'll end up focusing on the flaws and disliking it so I get some reviews since well feelings of love are subjective.

Since I now get sad when I see him getting unjustified hate I guess I became a fan huh . I promised myself I wouldn't look at celebrities with a lot of antis anymore but here I am! 🤡 I guess its my destiny. Looking forward to Feiyu's future projects, he's young but get better with each role he takes on.

This is the kind of drama that can still become one of your favourites despite its flaws. It was draggy at times and some passages are unnecessarily confusing at the first watch, but the worldview itself is super fun, the fight choreos are amazing and it's got attaching characters. I don’t think I've quite found another drama like this. Loved CFY in this too, he's great at playing the role of cheeky characters.

Title Are You Human? Spoiler
Honestly this drama was unexpectedly BOMB. The sci-fi aspect was ridiculously well-done, I couldn't wait to watch…
BUT it could've really been one of the best dramas ever if only the ending was better written. Once the real Nam Shin comes back, it kinda goes to shit. I was immensely frustrated by the way all the characters were against him, when it was totally valid for him to lose his mind over a robot stealing HIS identity. There could've been other ways to handle this, like moving AI nam shin to a place far from his and giving him another name, or even modify his appearance so he could be his own person. I felt like I was going mad with human nam shin lmao like wtf. I know it was the point, exploration of robot/human existences I'm not saying that part of the plot wasn't needed, but it could've done with an actual resolution to the identity theft.

Some people find it boring but I watched this at a time where I was tired of overbearing plot and characters and I found light in this drama. So calming, so peaceful yet sad, so nostalgic. My rating usually drops as a rock for dramas that introduce a pre-existing link between the 2 leads but I didn’t mind here.

We don't address the haters much in this drama's comment section but to be honest, I've definitely been noticing…
Half a year later and I still see them lol. I just find it funny because really, most of the times these are just people with low emotional intelligence who have trouble understanding complex characters beyond obvious clues. It's totally valid not to like Lixun, but to reduce people who understand the character and get attached as clueless young girls makes me laugh. I'm in in mid-20's, I've lived through my fair share of unhealthy relationships and I wouldn't actually love someone like Lixun in real life, but some women might and if they have the strength and desire to put up with it I respect it,most of all I think people should know how to differentiate fiction from real life. Can't imagine how bored I would be if I only liked perfect male leads.

Just an observation, don't be surprised if the rating drops from 8.7 in the future. With highly rated dramas,…
you were right haha. Fortunately there are people like me who were encouraged by the great reviews and ended up adoring the drama.
