A Dark and Promising Start
Episode 1 was a strong start and honestly did not feel like the usual GMMTV series. The tone was dark and mature, the chemistry between the leads was already compelling, and the acting was impressive. The visuals were cinematic and polished, and I was relieved that there were no awkward or cringe sound effects often used in lighter dramas.
It has only been a few months since I watched Until We Meet Again and Between Us, so seeing Boun again was a pleasant surprise. I did not even recognize him at first without the blonde hair. I am also really glad both he and Prem are back, because their dynamic is as captivating as ever. This marks my third series with them, and the first episode set the bar high.
For now, I am holding off on giving a final rating since it is only episode 1, but if the remaining nine episodes keep up this level of quality, Revamp the Undead Story could easily become one of my favorites of the year.
