After this desperate speculation from my part , the ring scene doesn’t seem like a flashback .
Reason: here is the thing while seok ryu is holding the ring there’s also a flyer or something of CIA (culinary institute that her ex was talking about ) , so as we know in the past she was nowhere near considering her dream quest . And about the scene where she is with group of girls in the preview , they seem like her mates from her cooking class which she is attending for the certificate or license and most importantly at this scene she and her ex is wearing exactly the same outfit as in the ring scene🥲.
Well hoping this won’t be true bcs if this will be the case iam severing my relationship with kdrama world after 🗡️the writernim🙂

But for some ppl this isn’t a choice more like it’s their last resort 🥹. Iam sorry if this whole conversation got dark but I felt like justifying this whole shift🥲🙂.

My whole point is that ppl being disappointed in this change of plot is not completely unreasonable * my reason of being disappointed are stated above🙂* basically started this dramas to take a break from some heavy stuffs or genres and as if real life issues were not enough to cope up with 🥲.
I guess my comment is in between not exactly saying this drama is bad ( bcs a sudden change in plot does not reflect the whole quality of the drama ) as 8 more episodes to go and I hope writernim will surpass this disappointment he has caused by some suprising character development 🙂. I hope you get it now

Disappointments are there only when there is hope🙂. For some ppl this is not just a drama but this helps them forget about their worldly problems or coping up with their depression or loneliness , to just immerse itself in some fairy tale like story and after a whole tiring week , just for 2 days in a week escape from all their worries and pretend as if just existing is just enough . It’s not that iam being dramatic/ overreacting but yeah this is exactly how I feel when I genuinely feel for a drama and this is the main reason why many ppl may be disappointed and this feeling is completely different from what you all are making it look like i.e, instigating hate on this series or smth lmao, remember dislike and hate is a completely different word which changes the whole meaning of a sentence 🙂 .
You ppl should not impose your opinions on others , as this has many viewers each of them views it in their own way . As popular things are bound to more exposure, so they should be open to different criticism bcs not everyone is as understanding 🙂

Extremely disappointed rn Is all I can say 🙂🙂‍↕️. Being friends for what they say 29 yrs and yet can’t communicate with each other when this is the most basic thing they need for their ship to sail rn 🥲. Like seung hyo’s feeling tantrums were not enough for me to handle just at that time seok ryu is being indifferent to him, i lost it when she took her arms off seung hyo’s hands and asked “her hyun jun sshi” to hold her/ grab her whatever 🙂 * poor me being excited to witness their awkward aftr confession situation 🙂‍↕️.Just when everything felt like coming in its place , this writernim got me some extreme trust issues🫠. I don’t even care for whatever reason she is being like she is right now but if the reason somewhat corresponds to my suspicion then I can’t back her up anymore* I was literally backing seok ryu’s character in every way from some misogynistic ppl *, but this is just wrong 🙂🫡 .
Ok now I need to touch some grass rn , everything just too much for my weak heart🥲🙃

Idk why but writernim made seung hyo’s character overly sensitive😂 when it comes to seuk ryo , this is supposed to be cute but sometimes it just pisses me off 🥲 . He somewhat yelled at Tae hui in the restaurant and was fast enough to apologise right after their ‘Date’🙂?!!!! Nah I wished seok ryu to ignore him for not just like 2 min bcs boy had to learn his lesson 😗.

He couldn’t have been more hot in that scene 🤌🏻😭.
Masculinity seems attractive when executed in such situation rather than what my boy was doing these past 2 episodes 😭, anyways he made up for all the disappointments by today’s episode

Till now everything is like lukewarm but Seung Hyo’s ex pisses me of sometimes when she doesn’t leave a chance to flirt with seung hyo and sometimes gets really touchy with him too🙂.Like duh she came out of nowhere suddenly proposed a project likely to create something meaningful with him ( maybe iam just being paranoid 🥲)
But I guess the lines she says are not that simple as it sounds like suddenly changing that onggi thing to a kettle for their project making a meaning out of it and telling it to seung hyo wanting him to understand something I guess? ( but our seung hyo immediately connected it to his feelings for seok ryu * a hopeless romantic he is😂* ) , getting herself involved in his matters telling him to use her but again being jelly when she clearly knows everything😃 , i got extremely suspicious when she said “ I’ll follow my heart “ 🥲 . And lastly the scene where she was clearly feeling uneasy seeing the pomegranate tree ; pomegranate translates to ‘ Seoglyu ‘ in Hangul which clearly sounds like seok ryu 🥹( and I was laughing when I translated those Korean comments in YouTube that left me thinking who the hell is pomegranate😭😂)
But apart from all these i feel like her character in this drama is really needed , i just hope she won’t turn into something like ‘ I’ll be selfish for myself just once🙂‍↕️’

And lastly Moeum’s heart drums were loud af 😭 , iam a girl but iam simping over her so hard 🫢🫡.

The scene When Mi suk ( seok ryu’s mom) was ready to drum roll that hyun jun guy or whatever his name his and Dong Jin ( brother) said it felt like déjà vu ; He was referring to a scene in Somin’s movie Love reset right?? Feel free to correct me if iam just typing nonsense 😭😂 , bcs the moment Dong Jin referred to as some déjà vu trust me I felt that too 🥲

Iam really having a hard time with our FL costumes, like I get it she’s a clerk but at the same time she’s a minister’s wife but her dresses are no different than that yun que girl and the maids , it’s feels like the maid’s dress are taken and some flowers , cherry blossoms or whatever are drawn ( actually FL’s visual overshadows her cheap looking costumes😭, she’s really pretty so it doesn’t bother me most of the times 😩) . Like I’m not even hoping her to be dressed prettily every time but she can do it occasionally ryt😭. One of the main reasons I’d always been intrigued by Chinese historical or Wuxia / xanxia series are bcs most of the time their costumes and cinematography are really pleasing to see and at the same time mesmerising. But anyways this was just one of my complaint I needed to talk about , other than that really enjoying their dynamic with each other ( tbh the chemistry feels a bit lacking , anyways long way to go and it’s still early to decide bcs still many episodes remain🥲)

Jung Hae In & Jung So min , ofc their chemistry is undeniable 🙂.

😂😭 being honest , the scenes are not getting any milder. The only scene that felt like lovemaking * between ji Chang wok and jeon jeong seo * except that every bold scene were a bit too much , will have to agree on that* whole time i was assuring myself ‘ yeah they surely used body double for the scene which felt too real 😭🥲’.Apart from that the storyline is what kept me hooked bcs kdramas are really good at baiting a cliffhanger to the viewers and most of all I need to know who will be the next king😭. Obviously there’s some warning sounds before the bold scenes are to be shown you can always skip it if it becomes too much for you😂. Won’t spoil you further watch at your own risk 🫡😀.

Even if MLs aka eye candy of these dramas are to be committing murder or arson but his crime will be sugarcoated, excused or are justified as ‘ this is what childhood trauma does that to a person , poor him was never shown any kind of affection so he is a little bit inhumane, he grew up around an environment where he had to suppress his emotions blah blah’ Hypocrisy at it’s peak . The ppl bashing on seok ryu are the same ppl who won’t be having enough patience like she is having for him rn🙂. My girl’s self esteem is made of some strong shit at this point bcs trust me if my friend was to be suddenly rude or mean to me , I’d just shut them out of my life and as y’all are being so understanding , I bet that y’all won’t be so understanding if y’all will be facing some baseless nonsensical attitude that popped out of nowhere🙂. So lest , just be practical about it

Iam mainly into the historical genre , so I watched it without any warning like I just viewed the poster the day before and found the title somewhat intriguing and without any research binged in directly😂. Well as much as I liked the cinematography, the actors are just right for their role ; honestly I was quite surprised with the bold scene ( when the shaman was completely b*** chested with the first n**** scene 👁️👁️) and rechecked if I was streaming the real thing 🥲, lastly I checked the tags in the MDL 👤.As much as I was not ready to watch my fav actors with some bold scene * which were lowkey p****( I got this information beforehand due to the debate 😭😂) . I barely pass on historical genre be it from any region , so I decided to continue 🙂🫡.
I watched it on my own risk , aware of the warning ( do not worry iam an adult😂) and just skipped through the scenes which I found too much but iam no kid so I clearly got the idea of what was happening . But someone pls enlightenment me that they used body double to do the scenes😭, I’ve this serious syndrome of overthinking 😂. Lastly , I won’t let my judgement about the bold scene overshadow how good the plot , storyline , cinematography and the actors are , at least for me . As I’ve long been into this genre, this just felt right to me . The historical aesthetics in this series are just right* not too extravagant or like a gold show* , the woman were just there for the harem and men were just for the politics , this series depicts this topics very well. And about Jeon Jeong seo, y’all seem to be saying she is lacking or something but IMO her reactions or acting are just right for the role of a queen* badass yet graceful & elegant** to be able to brace herself in any situation * , queens are supposed to be * talk less do more* and she just does that perfectly but anyways opinions differ. Will come here after the complete airing to know who will be the next king bcs I love spoilers😂.

Yeah I seriously tried to convince myself to understand from his perspective but still 1% of me kept being pissed at his actions 😭.AS much as I love him , I hope he really learns from his mistake of distancing himself from her after her ex shows up and won’t do anything more stupid in the upcoming episodes ( bcs still many more episode to go which means many more misunderstandings) hopefully they will open up about their feelings and put a full stop to ex drama🥲.

Yeah thank you so much for pointing out that *he humiliated her* , I get it he had his own situation and problems but ppl are missing this point here and trying to sugarcoat his actions . If this was the other way round like seok ryu reacting this way , viewers would have called out her character as simply immature . Tbh I wanted a proper apology but yet this is a drama what can I expect . Hats off to seok ryu for having immense level of patience for him , if sm1 is suddenly mean or rude to me without disclosing anything trust me I would give them the taste of their own medicine 🥲.
