To reply to the 3rd point... I think this idol/actor has a roles cut to his abilities. He acted also in Alchemy of souls, and there he was also this kind, but very reserved character. I think it suits him, and he gives it his best. The roles are mostly the same, but it would be unnatural to give him some earth shattering roles if his abilities are not that good.
