I am so glad about all the TLI content we are getting plus it seems Lusi has many new friends from this series their BTS scenes are such a pleasure to watch Lusi and Anyu share such chaotic energy. [ I am hopeful we can manifest a modern drama from them next year their photoshoot gives that mature romance drama vibes]

Yes In a way it is his Karma the heaven stone had said to him him reviving a phoenix which has dissipated would cost him a catastrophe and that letting her go is also fine he won't have to pay anything .

To be honest though if Gu Jin wasn't connected to Feng Yin in that way,
Feng Yin was meant to have died because Two phoenix queens in one generation is an anomaly (according to heaven stone this is also said in EP 2)

This is just my deductions based on what I observed from Episode 1 to the current episodes.

A) A yin has a part of Feng Yin's soul if we remember in Episode 2 Gu Jin said he is ready to suffer any catastrophe to the Heaven Stone to revive the Phoneix Feng Yin .

Then heaven stone actually sent a fragment of Feng Yins soul to the water beast egg after 10 years she is born as A Yin. This is the biggest reason why A Yin is Gu Jin's catastrophe. and why things later on are going to end up they way they are going to be.

B) Since she has Feng Yin's soul she is like a compass or detector of her other soul fragments. Which is why she is able to sense where they are.

I remember being captivated by Cdrama since ten miles of peach blossom . I have come to adore Asian dramas. They show stories so beautifully so many of them are not only visually captivating but it also tugs our heartstrings.

For no 1 :- Gu Jin had asked her why she was able to sense that their master slave contract is gone :- She was able to do so because previously when she had romantic thoughts of Gu Jin the master servant bond would punish her now when she thinks about him romantically there is no punishment.
So he wanted to hear her reason and well she was fumbling about how to tell her feelings.

Here is what they know of him currently is - that he is a junior immortal , Elder of Daze Mountain Disciple of Ascended God Dong Hua.
Nobody other than a few close people of his know who he is actually.

True status [true gods son a descendant of his mothers powers (blood of chaos) his mother had sealed all his powers before she sent him to the immortal realm , which is also hiding how powerful he is . ]

So now unless he breaksthrough to ascend to demi god level or something happens to reveal himself as the true gods son , he will have to listen to Lan Feng .
( though Lan Feng is not malicious in nature his inflexibility does cause a lot of problems)

Yuan Qi's level is a higher than Feng Yin since he has the power of chaos from his mother True Goddess Yi He (ALP Shang Gu) and plus since he is the son of true gods he was born with godly power its just that when Gu Jin (Yuan Qi ) was sent to immortal realm by his mother she sealed his powers. But doesn't mean Feng Yin can't ascend to Godhood through vigorous cultivation she can , but there is always a difference in the true god bloodline and those who ascend to god who from the immortal realm.

I am also thinking that most who have complaints are used to dramas with super powerful perfect ML's and maybe they find it jarring to see a character having to go through that character growth and development.

I enjoyed Cdramas since a long time so I am used to many type of stories now.
I think my first Cdrama was Princess Weiyoung (though later on I heard the show was plagued by the novels authors plagiarism case) it was around 56 episodes , then I watched Ruyi's royal love , Wu Zentian and many similar palace dramas and then first Xianxia was Ten thousand miles of peach blossoms. Eastern Palace Goodbye princess) I have watched many xianxias now [ this genre needs extra patience though ]

These dramas has built my foundation of patience and watching character grow type of stories.

I think people used to short dramas , short Chinese modern dramas as well as Kdramas and other similar short dramas might not at first adapt to the length of historical , xianxia Cdramas , though now the age of 50 60 or 80 episode dramas in China is over due to new censor board rules.
Which limits one seasons episodes to 40 and if there has to be another season it should be within a gap of 6 months or so. which is why Yang Zi's Lost you forever is Split into two parts.

I can see the complains that will be there everywhere for those episodes already . I mean I wouldn't blame anyone for being pissed because I think I will be the same too 😅

Its obvious those who are complaining about Gu Jin (Yuan Qi) didn't even get to the part where they explained his childhood albeit briefly in the first episode of TLI . They showed him crying as a child when he saw his mother shutting down the god realm. They saw his immortal sect spoiling and protecting him with their love as they are worried his parents issues have affected him deeply.

Mostly everyone can empathize/sympathize with how children can be traumatized by various events and might have some personality as a coping mechanism .

But I don't think anyone wants to understand that either why Gu Jin is they way he is or how he will grow to be a very powerful character that is an important part to this drama also it is like 40 Episodes.

I am not sure maybe before she gets to be reborn as the Phoenix Feng Yin , there maybe a short realization arc but they also said there has been changes made that deviates from the novels second half plot , so we can't be sure about it.

And when she is reborn as her phoenix form due to her many deaths and reincarnations she is already cultivated to the power level of a demi god so yeah phoenix form as Feng Yin is supposed to be very powerful at least in the 1st Heaven realm.
