Thank you to the director and crew, for accompanying me through the ups and downs of six roles, building this magnificent and believable world for everyone. And thank you to all the viewers who entered this story, thank you for seeing the pain and happiness of the spirit, for understanding the greatness and sorrow of the Dragon God, for loving the innocence and weakness of the little wooden puppet and the source of the disaster, and perhaps, for pausing quietly for a moment before that lonely snowfield called Jikan, letting out a small sigh.
The road ahead is long. Like a fox, I will carry the innocent heart I had by Jade Sleep Lake and continue on my journey. "I want wildflowers to bloom throughout this world."
I believe that one night, as you look up at the moon and the night wind carries the dampness of the distant lake, a melody will surely resonate in your hearts, reminding you of them, of them. Some fans of Joseph Zeng & Chen Duling were not happy that their fave being 'sidelined' and wished for more screentime, eventhough their characters journey as a couple had progressed nicely, from first meeting, flirting phase, knowing each other and falling in love and even lived and loved for decades as husband and wife. It might happen in the star stone's illusion but they truly lived each day of those long 50 years. They then had their short separation and ended with a prospect of happy future. Good storyline matters when it comes to a drama. To ask for more screen time while disregarding the whole built up story is a selfish act.
The hate directed at Ju Jingyi and Tian Jiarui by certain fandom was ridiculous since they only did their job according to the script and the director. The beautiful JJY was mocked as ugly, could not act and would make this drama flop, which totally BS coming from crazy blind haters. They might be hiding now since JJY had topped the character popularity ranking in several platforms and received praises for her acting performance. Tian Jiarui was said to be GJM's fave. If he cannot act and was just on the screen because he was favored, then the hate would make a bit sense. But TJR played so many different characters and portrayed them all flawlessly. He slayed the innocent Jiling to the divine looking spirit Ji Can excellently and made each character tranformation look so effortlessly done. TJR played an important character in VOS that GJM could not make him less than an ML, even with him being a 'junior' compared to the other 3.

I love Jiling & Lu Wuyi right from the moment they met, when she looked at him , saying "Sir, save me", then shamelessly threw herself into his embrace and stayed there until Lijie grabbed her shoulder and shoved her towards Wu Shiguang 😂😂 I was so captivated by WuWu fighting scene but moved on really quick to JiLu 😘

Fangs of Fortune is great for the martial arts side, beautifully executed but the romance sucks! With all the angst, I expected at least a little happiness but no, Edward Guo was so mean!!
I still love his works. MJTY has an open ending but it is a masterpiece. Well, half done kind of masterpiece.
Veil of Shadows is the best of his work. It has the beautiful scene in FOF (minus the over slo mo scenes) and the tons of angst, the complicated storyline in MJTY and THE GOOD ROMANCE, that was missing in the previous dramas. FOF is not recommended for romance lovers.
