The pacing and narrative of this story are actually quite strong. It only feels confusing initially because the…
Equal billing does not mean equal screentime since it is rather impossible to write a script equally divided among its characters, but some fans seemed to fail to understand it
Veil of Shadows has no plotholes. It has impatient viewers who wanted the plots being out all at once and some fans who counted the minutes their fave on the screen and complained about the not 'equal billing', disregarding the detailed storyline and how well written and nicely the script had been delivered. Episode 15. Jiling told Lu Wuyi what he just found, beside Jiu Ying's true identity. That Jiu Ying had the same weakness as him. Lu Wuyi. He did not elaborate.
Episode 19. Jiling told Bai Ze the devastating fact, the reason of why the only girl he loved was also Jiu Ying's weakness.
With less than a week before the express package is dropped, let us keep calm and just enjoy our drama watching. Peace.

The ending will make me cry a river. I really really really (three times a charm 😂) wish for JiLu to get a good ending. My one and only wish (GJM might crush it tho)

I find it funny when people call Jiling fake dragon like it was an awful thing. It only tells that they do not really know the plots. And saying the actor is less significant is nonsense. Tian Jiarui has done an awesome job portraying Jiling character.
Jiling was the kindest pure creature with no malicious intention.
- The fox Jiling was trapped under the rock, yet he did not whine or blame his fate when sharing the story. - He was grateful being saved by the dragon deity and used the little power he was granted to save others. - He exhausted that power but could not saved many, being chained for 'failing' but did not feel any hatred. He felt regrets for the life he failed to save instead and took Yuan Xizai's face when he gained his human form - He was made a dragon deity and did his duties all while being a free spirit trapped in the scale cave for so long. - He met a demon and fell in love with her and continued giving her the best part of his life as a red fox. - He did not crave the dragon deity power despite being in charge for more than a thousand years. - He made sure that Wu Shiguang was safe and prepared everything for him to inherit the dragon throne. Not a hint of jealousy towards someone he had been keeping the dragon throne safe.
Jiling was such a lovely soul. If there was anything that could make him go the extreme way, it would be for Lu Wuyi. The way he could not control himself and sobbed devastatedly after knowing how unkind the fate had been and still would towards his beloved and their love was so heart wrenching to watch.
Tian Jiarui's acting perfomance is getting better and better in each drama he participated 💕

Who cuts the onions? 😭😭😭😭 My JiLu deserved the happy ending!!
Tian Jiarui and Ju Jingyi were absolutely flawless & fabulous in portraying their roles. And the chemistry is hotter than the meteor befalling AoDeng 🔥🔥
Can be from taking photos or video recording the filming process
