I knew Ren Jia Lun from Forever and Ever and was fascinated at how he could look so manly handsome when the character was serious and looked boyish cute when he smiled and happy.
I liked him already then, but I am falling more now. He is so gorgeous in this drama, so I suppose wuxia suits him more than modern drama.
His portrayal of Wei Zhao/Xiao Wuxia is awesome. The micro expressions are flawless. The raising eyebow, the hidden smirk when he knew that his scheme would work just fine and the little smile when things worked well with Jiang Ci. And of course the martial arts. Wei Zhao with sword dance, sword play and holding the spear with just one hand will never fail to steal my heart

It makes sense if Pei Yan is not aware. Jiang Ci to Pei Yan is his own version of 'Xiao Ci', to be kept in his mansion and to 'love him'. She told Wei Zhao about her life, her teacher and where to meet her and not Pei Yan.
As for using her, Wei Zhao was actually feeling conflicted, about the clay cat but his subordinate reminded him about clearing his father's name. But he will never put Jiang Ci in danger again.
