I think drama can sometimes have exaggerated plots like that, more about creating a dramatic scene, and less about the logic of it.

The writer should have added 5 minutes (or even less) screen time for LMT to have a monologue, worrying about the injured CXZ she heard from someone (can be at the market or ladies on street gossiping, since everyone must have known about it, with Lord Beizhou's son and the esteemed Lord Huaiyang involved) and was considering visiting him in secret. Even if she did not go.

But no, the screen writer decided to make LMT colder than the iceberg.
That is rather sloppy writing, since LMT was sad hearing that marriage decree but did not even care a bit about him being injured?

I have been impatient since he turned into a shameless lord 😅. I would ff the whole chasing scene if it is a completed drama just to see the ending.
Even though I laughed and was entertained, they are a bit too much for me.
