I am so ready with the tons of angst scenes and crying a river but the ending must be them receiving the real marriage certificate and be the actual couple.
LMT was very intelligent and based her actions on proofs but also guided her heart with instinct. She might be so broken heart now, too deep (added up to the devastated massacre) that it messed up her qi and meridian system (thus the vomiting) but I doubt that she would 'run' to Ziyu. Even with the memory loss, Ziyu looking at her like she was the world only gave her uneasy feelings. Not an ounce of excitement. If anything, she would go back to the clan to exact revenge.
So LMT... Stay strong. Stab that cunning lying husband once or twice, kill all your enemies but him then let the storm quiet down and understand that above all the deceitful schemes and tricks, that the ar** CXZ was the man who loved you very much.
Lord Huaiyang set up the fake Cui household with his people working to support him with the plan only to have Nanny Li and the others falling for his 'wife' charms 😅 The gracefully beautiful, loving and smart Liu Miantang is definitely hard to resist.
This drama is so entertaining and deserves more than 8.2 Each episode up to 16 was well executed with proper pace. It is not slow pacing at all. I wrapped up the whole aired episodes in one go (with sleeping break) without skipping or fast forwarding any scenes.
Since it was shown at the beginning of the story, the 'amnesia trope' makes me even curious about the past, totally different with having such plot in the middle of a drama, where viewers know more than the characters.
And having a strong & in love FL with cold 'need a stab' ML makes this drama so worth watching. I am anticipating the darker plot from today's episodes onward (im)patiently.
Just watched episode 1. 10 points. Wang Churan is perfect as a martial expert who lost her memory. She nailed the confused looking, alert eyes of an 'assassin' and smart lady with her micro expressions. Did not know the ML before but liked him instantly. The visuals and acting skills.
Their interaction as the fake couple copying the fighting neighbour and her eagle embroidery on his cloak are so cute. I hope the next episodes will continue this entertaining.
What I like about this drama is the good acting. Most actors did a great job in portraying the characters. Neo Huo did so well as Baili Dongjun, from the spoiled brat to how he was devastated with the end of his friend, big brother and childhood idol. He Yu was great as the aloof good person turned bad with anger & anguish. Xia Zhiguang was perfect as the pure and loyal SKCF.
The other actors & actress did good job too, with extra praise to Qiu Xinzhi & Zhang Chenxiao who played Mr Li and Nangong Chunshui respectively. Thumbs up for them for immersing into 1 character flawlessly. All actors playing the 8 Young Masters of Beili were indeed noticable for their striking visuals (for me) and even if they have little screen time, the actors did their job satisfactorily. Also the actor playing Qixuan the future white haired deity and Su Muyu. With nice music (I love the opening OST), this drama should have gotten a 9.
But the story dragged the rating down. As the parents story to TBOY, it can never be considered as a standalone. It should have totally different characters for such excuse to work. The many errors contradicted its sequel and made me feel annoyed during watching, no matter how I tried to ignore them. The ending dismissed the important plotline in TBOY. 7.5 of 10
It is still recommendable to watch, but prolly only for those who have not yet and will not watch TBOY (which is better written & executed). DY has more romance so romance lovers would find this entertaining.
He's xiao ruojin's son , he was born right before wen jun first child.
Xiao Ruofeng was Xiao Se's mentor and he grew up to be more like his uncle but smarter and more decisive. His uncle was binded by martial world and court life but XS strongly opposed to stay at the court and be the martial artist instead.
