I do not mind which one as long as it is well written, like Who Rules the World. Lanxi and Fengxi left the court to live and love far from the rest of the empire since he only had 10 years to live. They did not abandon their duties and only left after the peace had settled.
There is never an emperor as dumb as LiNi father. Even the grand governor wondered as how someone like LiNi came from Li whole family. He is gorgeous, great martial artist, kind and just. He even wishes to live an ordinary life. I hope this drama will end with him living the life he wants or I will scream like a banshee.
I watched episode 18 and I could not move on from LiNi and Ying's loving moment and am now too scared to continue watching until I know the ending.
Those who have read the novel or webtoon, please spoil me if they are going to have a happy ending and what happen in the rest episode before the ending. I do not mind the angst or crying a river as long as ML and FL are together at the end. Mark your reply as spoilers Pretty please...

And the ep 9 after intro is the spoiler scene to the ending itself. I would have loved it so much if PD just have the scene where Doona and Wonjun meet in Japan, then hug and kiss as the ending instead of confusing viewers. PD just being mean I suppose. Not sure whether it is because there are only 9 episodes, but the intro and after intro speak for themselves and not included in the episodes. I actually watched episode 9 the ending right away after Netflix aired them and cried a river, so I decided to watch from episode 1 without missing any scenes (I used to skip intro) then saw that the ending was not as simple as I thought.

I think it is different since PD made it like a puzzle for viewers to put together - the episode, the intro and after intro as to how the story is executed. TTEOTM is supposed to be my fave (with Who Rules the World) but the ending is so devastating I removed it from my list. For me tho, nothing can compete 25 21. Worst ending ever.
