I love Xu Kai's acting in all his drama and prefer him to be the focus when he is the ML of the drama

I am Xu Kai's fan, preferably wuxia drama so I put this drama on hold for sometimes.
When I plan to watch it, the low rating really makes me wonder what has gone wrong with this drama?
Is it really unworthy to watch? Since it is 'publicly known' that anything lower than 8.0 on MDL is not worth watching.
