Or Director gives us little interaction, to prevent us from the heartbreak, since we know how BDJ & YDZ will end

That is what I meant. Sikong Qianluo is beautiful since her mom is the most beautiful woman and the actress is gorgeous but the drama stylist did a bad job styling the character.

When she is shot up close in TBOY, we could see how gorgeous she is, with a killer body too, a perfect FL.
Even if she is a martial artist, the stylist could have done better with her clothes. Her outfits do not bring out her beautiful features.

His 'romantic problem' with the Tang clan might have to do with it.

They maybe sequel & prequel but the focus of the story is different.
TBOY may have the exact same feel with DY if Prince Ruofeng is the main focus.

DY is focusing in Dongjun's story, carefree & spoiled young man who loves liquor.
TBOY has the sad, sarcastic and arrogant Xiao Se.
Happy first episodes vs gloomy ones.

Many of my friends choose DY first episodes than TBOY too.
They have the same answer.
The 8 young masters.
They even thought that they were going to have all 8 dashing young men in all episodes 😅😅

She is the guest role so I suppose we will not see much of her again after today's episode.

The Sky's Beyond need an innate martial artist to win the war against Beili, to get back what they consider their rights. Both BDJ and YDZ are qualified for that purpose. Their meridian system stayed intact even after they overused their qi during fighting.

Watching wuxia can be tiring if you do not enjoy the martial arts world.
Maybe that is why you find the plot a bit boring.
Why don't you rewatch the episodes that are rather confusing so you can get the hang of what is going on. Otherwise, you will not fully enjoy the storyline. I did some rewatch too, for characters understanding.

The characters relationship chart shows that Nangong has 2 disciples in DY, Sikong Changfeng & Li Hanyi.

There is a special episode for TBOY where Xiao Se took Qian Luo and others to his villa-restaurant and TL made a show. He is alive. He was heavily injured so the clan announced his death for safety

TBOY main lead is Xiao Se, the prince, meant to be the next emperor, so it makes sense if the story is rather political.
DY main lead is Baili Dongjun, a more carefree young master, raised to stay away from the court politics, from the envious emperor.

But 2 things are clear from the dramas for me
Both are amazing.
TBOY huge popularity brings us DY. I wonder if production would still air a prequel if TBOY plopped in income and rating.

The errors in timeline are bound to occur when there are many characters involved in the story that has prequel/sequel.
TLOR did that with Legolas.
Hanyi is said to be 4 years younger than Sikong, when in DY, she is a child (6-8) while he is the same age with Dongjun (17-20).
I love both TBOY and DY and despite the impossibility, I wish for another error to be made, for Hanyi to meet Yuzhen in DY, and fall in love. I screamed when their story lasted short.
They can both suffer from amnesia later on

Both are great. IMO.
Xiao Se's sarcasm in TBOY is always fun to watch and Wuxin is also great with words.

LHY got his happy ending in TBOY. Xiao Se ends up with the girl he loves and travels around the martial arts world with his friends.

From the ending OST in each episode, she looks like she is in love with Dingzhi.
I think she approaches him because she needs to bring him to Tianwaitian, but falling for him instead.

It was not intimidating enough for Rain Demon, but it was for the disciples :))
