Ahh... The torture we all dislike so much. 1 day 1 episode. How I have been spoiled by Cdramas and forget how Kdrama killed me with its weekly airing 😅
Finally managed to watch this drama and I loooove it!! Lin Yusen is a lovely person and has a positive character that affects his surrounding. He was in need of both his parents when he was young, but could not and had to live with his grandparents instead, yet he did not grow up to be a spoiled young man. Instead of blaming his mother for being away, he valued their short time together every holiday and dedicated himself to studying and working. He makes improvements at his workplace and is a just leader. He loves Nie Xiguang and remains loyal to her despite her rejection. He showers her with his love but never makes her feel suffocated from it. He brings her back to her old self, the brave cheerful girl. That is what loving someone should be. For extreme comparison, our ML is heaven while SML is hell. Not because of the misunderstanding, which can be cleared out if he bothered to find out. You do not call the girl you love pathetic, insulting her out loud, just because you feel inferior.
I love it that they cast Song Weilong with Zhao Jinmai. They are adorable together. This is SWL's drama that I enjoy the most. He portrayed his character flawlessly. No question for baby girl ZJM. She slayed her role and left no crumbs.

It is not a new thing for a drama to film 2 endings. I recall some Korean actors said about this and that was why they had no idea which one would make it to the end. This drama made it to 9.10% for playback marketshare on Kuyun for day 1 airing, which is not bad at all. Neo Hou as Hongye and Tan Songyun as Xiao Yao made it to #1 and #2 respectively for Most Popular Characters on Vlinkage. The drama gets good acceptance in the mainland. MDL rating, as much as some weird people might think as, has zero effect to the drama or the cast's popularity. Yes, it could discourage MDL's newbies or passersby from starting watching so fans should comment more about what aspects in this drama that makes it a good watch.
Tips: Do not rate the non aired episodes. It will 'encourage' the haters and it just needs 1 hater with 1 and 2 fans with 10 to bring the rating down to 7. Just rate the episodes you have watched with your best.
PS: I have not yet started this drama so I cannot make any comments about the plots 🙏🏻

This drama is a masterpiece. The Best Drama 2025. The Vendetta of An's revenge story is beautifully and efficiently delivered (with no single frame or line being a waste or filler) with best characters portrayal, old style stunning cinematography, captivating & engaging storytelling. And all were wrapped with fantastic shocking elements that made me have a day to day best drama watching experience.
Cheng Yi and TVOA setting such a high standard for a drama series that it is going to be challenging for me to find the next drama that can satisfy my heart, eyes and mind the way TVOA did.
This is also the best Cheng Yi's drama page in 2025. Only a few haters (blocking some trolls helped too) appeared shamelessly. I am going to miss all the nice people here. Enjoy your next drama watching!
