I recall reading a post where Allen Ren himself said that he would not engage in very intimate scenes such as deep kiss because he is married and cares about his wife's feelings. He did not say anything about her not allowing him to do them but just him being a husband.
I know I want my romance in full but I really respect Allen Ren for saying so. And his acting skills is superb that he always delivers romance with his expressions.

You surely missed my whole reply because creating the ambiance and tons of practices are what they do in BTS or Behind The Scenes. BTS is part of production so once the whole actors started the filming, they were in acting zone.

IU plays a feisty character in this drama, never a pushover and if I recall correctly, per IU words, a 'psycho' so the character is definitely different. This drama is also a romcom, with some scenes might have been a cringed watch and cheesy but IU portrayed Seong Huiju character flawlessly and owned the character, so those scenes came out as nice and entertaining. For me personally, this drama is better than HdL.

Per your logic, the scenes where they hugged and kissed, should come just like that, without IU and Byeon Wooseok, both professional actors, needed to build up the ambiance and had tons of practices. Just drop this drama now. IU said that they kissed a lot so there will be more BTS that you cannot deal with.

From the shock, hopelessness and agitation, the anger he had to suppress and when the dam of emotions finally broke out when he saw Huiju again. He felt so relieved that he was trembling all over. Brilliant performance! In comparison, the PM's anger looked like a kid throwing tantrum, with screaming and yelling while Grand Prince Ian, with blood-red eyes and jaw clenching, looked like he would eliminate anyone who harmed his grand princess right there and then. IU is the award winning actress, so their pairing for this insanely entertaining drama is perfect! Episode 8 tops the ranking again with its peak minute-by-minute viewership rating soar to 14.6%.
This is a drama written by the long drama series winner for MBC in 2022, and helmed by the director known for popular dramas, bringing back the old Kdrama vibe everyone loved, lighthearted and entertaining. A romcom purely for entertainment purpose, totally not meant for 'genius viewers' to dissect and analyse but provide enough mystery to maintain the engaging ongoing story. The castline choice is perfect, with Byeon Wooseok and IU leading the story, keeping viewers attached to the screen with their visuals, acting performance and chemistry.

A very handsome, noble, dignified, smart, and yet so cute while delivering words that might sound cheesy if uttered by other men. PM and other men would never have a chance with Huiju. Our Grand Prince is the whole package!
