I don't like him either way. Bro needs to stop. He's a menace.
Oh chingu. Sorry, I deleted my comment before I saw yours. I was actually analysing thing but my friend said that I am defending PM π Which is not true since I hate all third wheel π
Things I didn't expect watching this show: Romance: Meh.Politics: π₯π₯π₯π₯π₯And it's solely because…
No wonder you found the romance meh if you did not notice IU and Byeon Wooseok, which romance actually has kept this drama topping the ranking π The QM did not actually play court politics. Her father did, PM and IAN as the regent βΊοΈ
He hid the truth about the poisoning case & perpetrator from IAn, who practically asked him to investigate even the royal family. He went to the QM instead, giving her the time to ponder about her father's crime, something he must never have done, as IAn's friend and as a PM. He violated the rule because he covets Huiju, even knowing (and denying) that she is falling for IAn. So PM is wrong, legally and morally.
The impatient people who are so quick in judging the characters and plots are back π€¦π» They really need a manual for 'romcom watching'.
Perfect Crown is romcom, a classic Kdrama style, and the plots can be found in dramas with similar genre but this drama is entertaining and captivating for the directing, the great acting skills from the actors, led by IU and Byeon Wooseok, their insane chemistry and the budget that allowed the production to build a palace to give the best feel for viewers, instead of using green screen. The visuals can only be outstanding because IU and Byeon Wooseok truly immersed into their characters and delivered convincing romance story between a royal and a commoner.
The storyline is gripping with the character development. Huiju never knew love before, and with the newfound feelings, she finally understood how awful it felt when her beloved was in pain. Never before she begged for anything but for IAn, because she valued him more than anything. IAn has remained at the back for years and did not bother to fight back. He understood now that to protect his beloved, he also needed to deal with the provocation right away. A crazy elder did not need a respect but a light strangle when misbehaved.
IAn and Huiju love each other and are working separately to spare the other the pain. Next (the preview) they will learn that working together is the best.
It is romcom! IT IS ROMCOM!! Who cut the onions????? ππππ
Another freaking awesome episode tonight that really makes me feel like riding a roller coaster of emotions. The preview literally saved me from crying non stop. I need episode 10 now
If you like romcom, do not miss out this drama. It is truly a gem, absolutely entertaining.
Perfect Crown has a very romantic story. Arranged marriage is not a new trope but instead of being 'strangers with mutual interests' this drama has Grand Prince IAn, who has feelings for the same girl since school time.
And that one and only girl proposed to him! Even knowing that Huiju's intention was purely business, IAn would not let her go. He did not expect for her to reciprocate his feelings, and was deeply moved when she was hell bent about protecting him and promised to face the nasty enemies together. Huiju has also started to openly respond to his affection, after knowing that he actually loves her. For once in his life, IAn finally steps out from the 'shadow', the second son's zone he has been forced to remain, so he can protect the person matters the most to him, Seong Huiju.
Yeah, some people need to take a course called βHow to watch kdrama rom coms.β From some of the negative comments…
This is by far the most interesting lighthearted drama that truly makes me excited every week, after dropping so many Kdramas for months. And still, there are funny people who keep 'analysing' it. They may have too much free time in their life π€¦π»
People 'making fun' about a marriage contract with actual CONTRACT in a drama which synopsis clearly said about MARRIAGE CONTRACT are the funniest kind of complainers here.
Huiju initiated it first, then Grand Prince IAN, proud and prideful, agreed and moved forward with writing one. He may have loved only her since years ago, but she made it clear that the contract was for mutual business purpose with no feelings attached, so he could not actually think or do 'let us make a verbal agreement or just get married because I trust you.' That would be a ridiculous plot.
Please make sense when 'criticising' the plots or your supposedly 'wise opinions' would be too obvious to be recognised as hating.

Friendship has been rescinded π₯
Per Byeon Wooseok emot π³π
Need a rewatch and another.
IU: my Grand Prince IAN needed an IV after a word of 'divorce'
Kdramas Old Timers: with 3 episodes left, of course they are having the rocky road now, for the ending to be so sweet ππ€
