Omg, the coach-coachee tag?? Is the ml going to help her train and mentor her?? That's one of my fav tropes!!!!
I don't know why the tag is there but actually no - FL is a professional billiard player while ML is a retired snooker player (until later episodes) so they're already established athletes on their own
Allow me to ruin it for you, I heard its from "Only for Love" author "so make of it, what you want"
No, it is not the same as the author from Only for Love. The author of OFL is Qiao Yao (who isn't the scriptwriter of the drama), while AASOL author is Mo Bao Fei Bao who is also the scriptwriter of this drama. The one she wrote is ONE AND ONLY not ONLY FOR LOVE. She is also behind other great hits like Scarlet Heart, Go Go Squid and the recently finished drama Love Me, Love My Voice.
I was just going to watch the first few eps and wait until the rest of it is available for streaming but I am hooked from the 1st ep, like other commenter said - the rawness just took me in and the acting was amazing from every ensemble (I was surprised at Yang Chaoyue's acting in here). Please give this a try if you love slice of life/family drama!
I found the WeTV link of the drama (but of course it's not available in my area): https://wetv.vip/en/play/p7imm4frhrm3ujj-Blossoms%20ShanghaiIf…
They do have WeTV link (it's available in my area) but it's NOT showing the first few episodes that just dropped idk how WeTV/Tencent fucked up with that
ML also falls fast and hard haha it's explained in the novel that he is pursuing her actively and fervently too in a way that she was perhaps barely aware of the strings he pulled to meet her etc.
I don't like rookie actresses as I got super saturated about them so skip but I know this type of drama is gonna…
Zhao Jinmai debuted earlier than Reba and even if you were to say she still counts as rookie because she spent most of those years being a child actress, her recent projects has been a success (you might not like Reset but it was no doubt one of the best dramas from last year, and Stand by Me - her recent drama was also well-received) so her transition to adulthood was quite smooth; her acting is getting better as time progresses, definitely on the better side even compared to the currently rising actresses
I heard this drama is going to release soon. Is that true? Is so around when?
Not sure when but there's a possibility that it'll drop after Love Me, Love My Voice? They'll premiere on November 30 and if we're waiting for its runtime then it's probably December - or it could be 1x more run of drama afterwards then it'll be January by the latest. ETA that I'm only saying this because LMLMV is also a drama adaptation from Mo Bao Fei Bao so it seems unlikely that they'll air it around the same time
Thank you so much for writing this! I really enjoyed ROTP so I will give this try.
Yes, do check it out! If RoTP let us follow the girls who were outlanders but are trying their best to make a living in Beijing, in TWBAT we'll be following the story of the girls who were outlanders (most of them) but have to start again in their hometown
