Fresh Drama are subbing this too on YouTube (if you don't have the WeTV app) https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLZZZLpfFwcBpY7WW-XdaIS7TPw9hs4D5bI'm…
This has better subs than the one on WeTV lol I might have to rewatch from the beginning. Thank you for sharing!
You're not interested nor start a business career in near future then? Not accounting, economics nor finance student?…
I said I like that about their dynamic though? It's actually one of the thing I love the most about this drama + I agree it's what made it so special. Wait I think I put the wrong word that's why you might've misunderstood what I said; it's not supposed to be detrimental, I was going to write that the business plot is important to the story and rls so I don't know how I got to that. I edited my comment, btw! And no I don't like HL ðŸ˜
I've caught up to the latest episodes (pulled an all-nighter to binge them so this meant serious business) and I am loving it more than I expected. I came in with no expectation having dropped Zong Chuxi's other drama The Furthest Distance (which has awful plot even though the visual is pretty) and she's showing more range in here. Surprisingly, Gongjun did better than in his previous works too in Rising with the Wind. You can argue and say that maybe it's the suit and the help of good directing but he's doing justice to his role as Xu Si. Plot-wise I like how it progressed too. It's definitely the better one out of the other modern dramas airing right now in terms of writing and cinematography AND editing. Checked out that this man is the assistant director of NIF and also directing the upcoming drama The Guide to Capturing a Black Lotus too! Anyway, back to the drama. A reason I love it is because I can empathize with Jianghu's struggle and I admire her resilience. I love a drama with a leading character that I can root for. Also, the business plot in this drama is actually relevant and important to the plot and relationships. I love that even though both leads have chemistry, they're really professional with one another lol that's my favourite thing about their dynamic. But can time move faster now so I can watch the new episodes?
This drama hits a 23k heat index on Tencent but it's so underrated in the international community (and by the way, you can watch it on WeTV if you have the app!). It'll perhaps be one of my favorite drama of the year (or at least it'll be in my Top 10) for its realistic depiction of life.
I've had high expectations about this drama prior to watching it because they said it's related to RITP series and now that I've watched 10 eps I can tell it really gave me a similar feeling to when watching RITP: the way it hits close to home and how real the characters are. Living in the big city is a dream for many, but are you prepared to return to the city where you grew up after all that? What used to be home can feel so foreign after being away, but like the synopsis said: "they could find endless possibilities in life even in their hometown."
It made me think a lot about my relationship with my mom too LOL. I feel this on a personal level because when you're away, you miss home, but when you're really back, you want to go away. Through all four female leads you can see a glimpse of yourself. On the surface it seems like this drama has no conflicts, but must a life be filled with dramatic ups and downs? Isn't the 'little problems' we encounter on a daily basis is a conflict on our own and the way we solve them is also a resolution that we managed to come up?
It's a drama that lets you follow the stories of the four girls who are now back in Chengdu, trying to navigate life in this place again after being away for so long and how they try to find the beauty in it despite all the stuffs that came their way. Would I recommend it to people [despite only watching it for 10 eps so far]? Yes if you're a fan of slice-of-life and don't mind a story that progresses 'slowly.' If you've watched Remembrance of Things Past and liked the drama, then I think you'll love it.
I saw some melons that said about the same thing. I really hope it isn't true.🥺
It isn't. The "news" was written from a marketing account who likes to write controversial stuffs to hit KPIs/fish out engagement, there has never been an interview nor any legitimate news regarding this.
The farthest distance in the world is not that between life and death, nor is it to be separated from each other, but it's the plot and the script of this drama.
their chemistry is to die for but every time their intimate scene gets cut short it feels like i'm getting dumped…
same same but for me it's more because when the drama is not about the couple is being lovey dovey I would cringe over so many other things happening ðŸ˜
This drama is fluff and best watched if you turn off your brain because there is so much logic behind it that makes you go ? immediately. That being said, I'm still watching it (have caught up until episode 8) because I like ZCX and ZYL chemistry.
I saw a video with an article that said Leo Wu is moving away from dramas and he will only do movies and probably…
I would like to refute this because: a) while it's true that Wu Lei has been taking on more movie projects, he never said that he will only do movies moving forward since he has always been active in both films and dramas, b) the "original source" behind the article was from a YXH, meaning that the news was not credible, so the video and the article translated misinformation from the beginning.
He's playing the FL's cousin/brother lol I forgot actually but they're obviously related (as Meng Xiaodong) and…
If it follows the novel closely then there'll be no second female or male leads, just second couple (even then they weren't shown much in the novel but it could be different!).
Wang xingyue became scnd lead? Or he will became scnd cp? Bruhhh this drama gonna air soon in q4 2023 or q1 2024,…
He's playing the FL's cousin/brother lol I forgot actually but they're obviously related (as Meng Xiaodong) and in the novel he has a loveline with Dai Si/Ding Xiao Ying's character (might re-edit later once I did a re-read of the book since my memory is blurry) so I'm guessing that he'll be a 2nd CP
