FL is poorly written, and it’s not just because of her actions or whatever. There are evil characters that were so well written that it’s hard to hate them. Or they get redeemed smoothly by character growth throughout the drama. I think this drama just fails at the pace and growth of character. If ep 26 happened earlier on at ep 15 or even 20, I would’ve been able to tolerate it. But I’ve seen too much of the repeated misunderstandings that I got tired. And it gets worse each time

I think it’s the double standards. People are stressed out in this comment section about FL’s getting bashed, but no one was stressed when the emperor CGH, or even the sister was bashed. They’re just mad because it’s the “FL”.

But lying is not the same as abuse. You commented somewhere that ML abused her, which is an overkill and not true. I get that she hurt for the betrayal. But that doesn't justify her acting like a spoiled brat and stabbed him. This overreaction is what made many people annoyed.

What exactly did he do? He tried to kill her but she tried to kill him back. So it’s fair game. They’re equal. Other than the beginning, the reality is, he never abused her in the timeline that we’re experiencing.

That’s what she read in the script. But did it actually happened the way she thought it would in reality? Why are we still so stuck in the original script? Especially with things that haven’t even happened yet. Like the living corpse etc…

Seems like people are confused between the original script vs what actually been happening to spin their narrative to defend FL actions. I read someone said "is fl supposed to endure abuse? Can't she stand up for herself?"

He abused her in the original script that she read. But what unfolded is different. They both tried to kill each other, so its fair game now. Other than the beginning, ML did not abuse her. If anything, she abused him LOL. FL is just out of touch with reality. Shes just been acting on paranoia about a script 'prophecy'. So objectively, its more on her for not getting the truth. You can misunderstanding all you want but that doesnt change the truth that unfolded.

Yes, girl can stand up for herself and have self-respect, thats why i think they each should just stay single and work on their own problems LOL. But her reaction to ML is overboard. Even if script is redeeming her now, i personally lost affinity for her. And even if she starts acting loving to him now, it just awkward for me to watch

And no.. nobody is hating the FL just for the sake of hating FL. I really liked FL from another drama this year.

The original script is like a prophecy. You get it if you watch a lot of xianxia dramas. Some old master talks about some prophecy that the main character is a devil doomed to destroy the world, so everything they do will be interpreted as evil. Misunderstanding blah blah.

We see the FL doing that exactly with the ML. No matter what he does, she couldn’t look past that prophecy.

Maybe others have patience with her, and I tried to. But after 25 episodes, I’m fed up



But I guess she gets away with that because she’s the FL. It’s ironic that people are only defending her because she’s the FL.


At this point, I just vote for them to get away from each other. I will root for their growth as individuals, but the chemistry and relationship is just not my cup of tea

It's because he lacks love. And she showed him that so he held on to that real tight. But at this point, they're better off as individuals, not as a couple. After ep 26, their relationship is not healthy.

The stuff that she saw in the script, it did not happened in the way that she thought in the current timeline. So sorry, the fault is on hers for continuing to misunderstood and out of touch with reality. Idk it irks me when people won't give people a chance to explain. And isnt trust the most important thing in a relationship?

Totally agreed. Very well said. What I don’t get is why people are so heated about critics of the FL loll. They take it so personally if anyone says anything bad about the FL. It’s like we get what the director / story is trying to do, but it’s just not doing it for us. Can’t we have our own opinion?

At the end of the day, it’s just a drama to me. I watch it for entertainment. It’s really not that deep tbh

Yea at this point, I also just don’t care for her either. FL just feels so 1D. I really liked her at first with the comedy, but that’s all there is to her. Just a funny character

Totally agreed. Really wanted to like FL, but aside from being funny and amusing, that’s all we see of her at this point. She does lack a lot of EQ. Yes, I’ve read the defenders explanations for her character, and also the director’s take. But it’s the failure of the drama for not giving us a Fl with depth. Sure it’s the irony of the plot, because the script was meant to highlight the ML. So we don’t see much of the FL’s depth and background. But I don’t see the point of the drama repeating this again…

I also think ML deserves better. Someone with a past like him deserves someone with high EQ and empathetic.

P.S: I also don’t get the FL defenders calling critics like me shallow or stupid for pointing this out. Like, we get it. But it’s just not doing it for us sorry

Yea same. Really liked this drama at first. But looking back, they could’ve cut down a few episodes. Too much fillers. I still hope it breaks 10,000 heat index though

He’s a professional blame-shifter. In ep 24, he said something along the line of “SYm, you’re turning me into someone evil”. Something like that. Like bro lolll, no, you’re just making those choices on your own.
