You didn't get my point. Want I want to know is the political angle or schemes of the story good enough to watch or to skip because I was really disappointed with Kill Me Love Me. Where as, in Story of Kunning Palace, The Double & Love Like The Galaxy executed the revenge & political angles very beautifully. Also in The Prisoner of Beauty, it was more focus into romance than political plot & they presented it very beautiful specially the actors chemistry and A Journey to Love has more brotherhood, unity elements. In each of these dramas there is no misunderstanding even if there was it was resolve every quickly. But I read that The Princess Gambit has misunderstand & amnesia plot I hate amnesia twist. And also maximum Chinese dramas adds misunderstanding between leads which is unnecessary for which a lot of screen time when on ML cozying FL.
I have no problem if it has less romance as Chinese dramas are famous for making the leads end up together or confess their love for each other at the very last moment of the whole drama. What I want to know is that does the political games or plots, twists, mind-games of lead good enough for me to watch? I don't want to experience another "Kill Me Love Me" moment, I had a lot of expectation about that but it disappointed me. So, I don't want another disappointment. I've seen in social that the FL will have amnesia in the 2nd half, I knowing that I am reluctant to watch it even more.

It's true Wei Yan was irritating at first, but he gradually grew on me. I thought he could be typical 2nd lead who will do anything to get the girl & power which usually happens in maximum of C-Dramas.

As far as I know & seen in some post that in Pearl Eclipse both Tilan & Emperor fall in love with each other in the end. Also he died protecting her & their baby. What I want know is how they will change the dynamic of it or at the end FL will marry the emperor? Anyone who read the novel can you guys explain it to me.

Trailer is giving dark vibe. But most of C-Drama started with dark vibes ended up being cliche. I hope it won't disappoint me.
